A community session was conducted by SCARF under Saheli’s project “Feminist Future Lab: Flood‑Proof Pakistan – Building Pakistan’s Gender‑Responsive Climate Action Plan (GRCAP),” supported by Baithak in Disaster-Prone District Charsadda, KP.
This session was focused on enhancing understanding of climate adaptation strategies and integrating Community‑Based and School‑Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM & SBDRM) concepts into local planning processes. Discussions also emphasized the importance of inclusive climate governance, local innovation, and sustainable adaptation practices. The session contributed valuable insights toward the development of Pakistan’s Gender‑Responsive Climate Action Plan (GRCAP), strengthening community linkages and supporting evidence‑based climate action efforts.
This initiative reflects the collaborative commitment of SCARF, Saheli, Baithak to advancing climate resilience and fostering localized, gender‑responsive approaches to disaster preparedness and adaptation across districts.
