Subject: Humble Request to Keep the College Hostel Open During Summer Vacations
Respected Sir,
We, the members of Bacha Khan Welfare Society, Pak International Medical College, respectfully submit this request, humbly appealing to you to keep the college hostel open during the summer vacations so that students belonging to conflict-affected and remote areas may continue to have access to safe accommodation.
Many of our students come from regions such as Waziristan, Orakzai, Bannu, Tirah, Domel, and other areas where the law and order situation remains uncertain. Under these circumstances, returning home during the vacation can expose some students to fear, insecurity, and serious threats to their safety.
Sir, we left our homes in pursuit of education—not to risk our lives. A student's greatest dream is to acquire knowledge, not to live under the shadow of fear. Our only misfortune is that we belong to regions where circumstances are beyond our control. We are seekers of knowledge, not of conflict or hatred. We simply seek the right to continue our education under a safe roof and in a peaceful environment.
We therefore earnestly request that, keeping the safety and well-being of students as the highest priority, the college hostel remain open during the summer vacation, and that students for whom returning to their hometowns is unsafe be permitted to stay.
We are confident that the college administration, as a responsible educational institution, will consider not only our academic future but also its moral responsibility to safeguard the lives of its students. After all, only a student who feels safe can become a successful doctor, researcher, and dedicated servant of the nation.
If, due to unavoidable circumstances, it is not possible to keep the hostel open, we respectfully request that the relevant authorities provide a guarantee for the safety and security of the affected students. Otherwise, the hostel fees for this period should be refunded to the students.
