GYM Club IMSciences Peshawar, in collaboration with EcoNexus, has signed an MoU with Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) to launch the "OGDCL Climate Resilient Urban Forests Initiative, Peshawar." This landmark partnership will bring over 3,000 indigenous saplings to life across two urban forests, driving climate resilience and sustainable urban development in the region.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Sikandar Ali Sheikh (GM CSR, OGDCL), Prof. Dr. Waseef Jamal (Focal Person, GYM Club IMSciences), and Mr. Ashfaq Khan (CEO, EcoNexus), with Ms. Zilay Huma (Media Manager, GYM–HEC) and Ms. Sumbal Wahab (Senior Manager, OGDCL) in attendance.

Gym Club, IMSciences extends its sincere appreciation to Eco Nexus and Getz Pharma for their valued support in the Shahi Bagh Miyawaki Forest plantation drive.

Members of Green Youth Movement Club, IMSciences proudly participated in the plantation drive at Shahi Bagh Miyawaki Forest, contributing nearly 400 young plants to Peshawar's second Miyawaki Forest, a significant milestone inspired by the remarkable success of the city's first Miyawaki plantation.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of IMSciences, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eco Nexus, Getz Pharma, and the Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental restoration and sustainable urban development.

The event was graced by Ms. Samia Jabeen, Assistant Commissioner, Faqirabad, and Mr. Qadeer Naseer, Director General, Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar, whose presence underscored the importance of collective action in advancing environmental sustainability.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our focal person, Mr. Waseef Jamal, for his invaluable guidance and leadership throughout the activity.
Despite the extreme summer temperatures, the enthusiasm and dedication of all participants remained unwavering. As part of our commitment to community well-being, Gym Club served its own product Lemon Squash to volunteers and gardeners alike, ensuring everyone remained refreshed throughout the plantation drive.

Every plant added today represents more than a contribution to the landscape, it is an investment in cleaner air, enhanced biodiversity, and a healthier, more resilient future for Peshawar.
