This small initiative of Apna Dastarkhwan (A.D) is initially the brain child of Parve
en Saeed of Khana Ghar. Impressed by her work, the A.D team decided to start its own setup of providing good quality food to underprivileged people at a very low price. The small but committed team of A.D inlcudes people from all walks of life who devotedly work for eliminating the biggest problem of Pakistan : hunger and the resulting crimes. With the same objective in mind, we serve those who need our help to combat hunger and thus create a world where no poor goes to bed hungry. Together, we have stamped out the force of hunger that is slowly eating away our society by providing food to the poor people in far flung areas of Karachi and giving them a chance of a healthy and happy life. The model is simple: quality food at very low price. We provide a proper meal in just Rs 10 for take away, six days a week during the lunch hours. Everyone is welcome to buy and eat our food. In effect, this not only feeds the poor but also gives them a chance to save money and utilise it on other avenues which would otherwise be spent on costly food. Help us put an end to hunger and crime through feeding more and more people. The more the people who help , the bigger the impact we create!
