Introduction:
Global Prosperity Network (GPN), a national organization has been working with the mission to alleviate poverty through community mobilization. Global Prosperity Network is registered under Society Act 1860 and working primarily in union councils Charakpura, Therian, Langarpura & Muzaffarabad of District Muzaffarabad. In Muzaffarabad GPN is working with actionaid international as par
tner in six thematic areas, Food & Hunger, Women rights, Governance, Health and education. The governing body of GPN is on sixteen members with the ratio of 50% male and 50% female. Which of these are the allotment of land to sanitary workers and the release of 1200 billion rupees from the government of Pakistan for the implementation of Master plane of Muzaffarabad. GPN is established skill development center named Huner Kada. Huner Kada is located in Anwar Shrief. GPN has also two more skill development centers. These centers are in village Pothi and Village Shalla Bagh. In Education sector GP is running three child friendly schools in UC Therian. In Health sector GPN is running two Health centers one is in Village pothi and second is in Shalla Bagh village. GPN also provide ambulance service to working area’s community. During year of 2010,In the theme Food and Hunger GPN completed 4seccessfull trainings of Kashmir Shawall making, 4 Ceramic Doh work trainings, 4 Pant shirt cutting and stitching trainings, advance tailoring courses, 2poultri trainings, 2 Kangri making trainins,2 Ribbon work training in different areas of district Muzaffarabad. At the result of these training the women of these areas are earning money and running there life easily with peace and prosperity.
