DG ISPR Major Gen Ahmad Shareef interacted with the students and academia of South Punjab in Jinnah Auditorium of Bahauddin Zakariya Univerity. ISPR Multan and BZU jointly organised the interaction. Dr MUQARRAB AKBAR was the focal person of this interaction. DG has elaborated the role of civil society and armed forces in the uplift of Pakistan. He pointed out that Pakistan was facing multiple challenges in internal and external front but with the strong support of nation, Pakistan military was countering these challenges. He also emphasised that there were many misperception among the society due to disinformation and misinformation so we needed to look towards the reality to understand the truth. DG answered a lot of questions from the students. He appreciated the quality of questions. Such interaction between academia, students and senior military official is essential to understand each other’s point of view for healthy debate.

PAF proudly organised an insightful seminar on “Pakistan–Bangladesh Relations: A New Era” at the Department of Political Science. The event was graced by the Honourable High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, who delivered a comprehensive address on bilateral relations, shared interests, and future avenues of cooperation between the two countries.

The session concluded with an interactive Question & Answer segment in which students of Political Science actively engaged with the High Commissioner. Their thoughtful questions were met with detailed and encouraging responses, enriching the academic value of the seminar.

PAF extends its gratitude to the Honourable Chief Guest and the department for their collaboration in making this event a meaningful and academically productive experience.

Visit of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan – Department of Political Science to Safe City Multan: Students Briefed on Modern Technology and Smart Policing

Today, the students of the Department of Political Science, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, visited the Safe City Multan Headquarters under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Shahid Hussain Bukhari, Chairman, Department of Political Science. Social Mobilizer Adil Ansari played an active role in organizing and coordinating the visit.

On this occasion, SP Safe City Multan, Mr. Nasrullah Warraich, welcomed the delegation and gave a comprehensive briefing on various units of the Safe City Project, their functions, operational mechanisms, and the smart surveillance system.

Students were informed about the following units:

⚫ Operations & Monitoring Center (OMC)

⚫ E-Ticketing Center (ETC)

⚫ Virtual Center for Child Safety (VCCS)

⚫ Emergency Dispatch & Control Center (EDAC)

⚫ Virtual Women Police Station (VWPS)

SP Nasrullah Warraich explained how modern surveillance systems, AI-based technology, and high-tech cameras are being utilized for crime detection, traffic management, and ensuring public safety.

The delegation was also briefed on several public welfare initiatives, including the Public Safety Mobile App, Virtual Blood Bank, Mera Pyara, and Meri Pehchan, all of which play a vital role in facilitating and protecting citizens.
