🛡️ Strengthening Collective Protection for Human Rights Defenders 🏳️‍⚧️

Representatives from trans-led organizations, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), lawyers, police representatives, cybercrime authorities, human rights defenders, and civil society allies came together in Multan to strengthen collaboration for the safety and protection of organizations and individuals working to advance gender justice and human rights in South Punjab.

The dialogue provided a platform to discuss the growing challenges faced by human rights defenders and community organizations, including:
🔹 Threats and intimidation.
🔹 Physical and digital harassment.
🔹 Defamation campaigns and false narratives.
🔹 Online abuse and reputational attacks.
🔹 The importance of coordinated protection and support mechanisms.

A key outcome of the dialogue was the establishment of the Multan Gender Justice Solidarity Safety Net—a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening coordination, solidarity, referral pathways, legal support, and collective protection for organizations and human rights defenders at risk.

By bringing together diverse stakeholders, the initiative reinforces a shared commitment to creating safer civic spaces, strengthening collaboration, and promoting dignity, accountability, and mutual support across our communities.

Protecting human rights defenders and community organizations is essential to advancing human rights and inclusive Menstrual Health Management (MHM). Together, we can build safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
