🌟 الحمداللہ! 🌟

دور دراز اور ناقابلِ رسائی پہاڑی علاقے BHU باجا، تحصیل داسو، اپر کوہستان میں ایک بڑا طبی و ویکسینیشن کیمپ کامیابی سے مکمل ہوگیا۔

🏔️ یہ علاقہ اتنا مشکل ہے کہ
گاؤں باجا سے BHU باجا تک پہنچنے کے لیے 30 منٹ کی کھڑی چڑھائی پیدل طے کرنی پڑی۔
لیکن ہمارے ہیلتھ ورکرز اور ٹیم نے ہمت نہیں ہاری۔

📊 کیمپ کی کارکردگی – اعداد و شمار:

🔹 کل مریض (OPD) – 226
🔹 خواتین مریض – 70
🔹 بچے جن کا علاج ہوا – 50
🔹 کل ویکسینیشن – 70
🔹 زیرو ڈوز بچے (جنہوں نے کبھی ویکسین نہیں لی) – 13 ❤️

یہ کیمپ صحت کو ان کے دروازے تک پہنچانے کا ایک سنہری قدم ہے۔

⚠️ بدقسمتی سے کچھ دور دراز دیہات کے لوگ موسم خراب اور وادی سپاٹ کی طرف نقل مکانی کی وجہ سے شامل نہ ہو سکے۔
لیکن ہم نے عزم کیا ہے – انشاءاللہ جلد ہی ان تک بھی پہنچیں گے۔

دشوار گزار راستے، بلند حوصلے اور ایک بڑی کامیابی! ⛰️

ہمیں یہ بتاتے ہوئے بے حد خوشی ہو رہی ہے کہ اپر کوہستان کے انتہائی دور دراز اور مشکل ترین علاقے، تحصیل کنڈیا کی یوسی تھوٹی (UC Thoti) میں "فری میڈیکل اینڈ ویکسینیشن کیمپ" کا انعقاد کامیابی کے ساتھ مکمل کر لیا گیا ہے۔ داسو سے 40 کلومیٹر دور، جہاں پہنچنا کسی چیلنج سے کم نہیں، ہماری ٹیم نے وہاں کے بچوں اور بڑوں تک صحت کی بنیادی سہولیات پہنچائیں۔

اس کیمپ کے اہم اعدادوشمار درج ذیل ہیں:

📌 کل او پی ڈی (OPD): 74 مریض
📌 کل ویکسینیشن: 50 بچے
✅ 17 'زیرو ڈوز' (Zero-Dose) بچوں کو پہلی بار حفاظتی ٹیکے لگائے گئے۔
✅ 33 'انڈر امیونائزڈ' (خطرناک بیماریوں سے غیر محفوظ) بچوں کی ویکسینیشن مکمل کی گئی۔

یہ کاوش دور دراز کمیونٹیز میں حفاظتی ٹیکوں کی کوریج کو بہتر بنانے اور معصوم بچوں کو مہلک بیماریوں سے بچانے کی جانب ایک انتہائی اہم قدم ہے۔

ہم تمام ہیلتھ سٹاف اور مقامی کمیونٹی کے حامیوں کا دل کی گہرائیوں سے شکریہ ادا کرتے ہیں جن کی انتھک محنت اور تعاون کے بغیر یہ کامیابی ممکن نہ تھی۔

📢 مفت حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کیمپ

ہجرہ ویلج سپورٹ آرگنائزیشن، ای پی ائی پاکستان محکمۂ صحت کوہستان اپر کے تعاون سے، جمعہ 15 مئی 2026 کو بی ایچ یو باجا جالکوٹ میں مفت حفاظتی ٹیکہ جات کیمپ منعقد کر رہی ہے۔

تمام والدین سے گزارش ہے کہ اپنے بچوں کو ساتھ لائیں اور انہیں بروقت حفاظتی ٹیکے لگوا کر خطرناک بیماریوں سے محفوظ بنائیں۔

THIS JUST IN: Two new studies in JAMA Pediatrics confirm that the Hep B birth dose is the strongest shield a baby has against lifelong chronic infection, cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Each year, around 250,000 babies are infected with hepatitis B at birth.

Researchers reviewed 40 years of evidence and determined that vaccinating within 24 hours provides a vital safety net, especially when maternal screening is missed.
Not only that, delaying the first dose can have significant economic implications, adding up to $369M in lifetime healthcare costs for a single year’s birth cohort.

The studies add to evidence supporting ’s recommendation that all countries provide a hepatitis B vaccine dose within 24 hours of birth.

🌟 Empowering Our Team | Capacity Building Success! 🌟

We are proud to share that the dedicated staff of HUJRA Village Support Organization (HUJRA VSO) successfully completed an intensive three-days series of capacity-building training organized by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (P*P) under the Restoring Social Services & Climate Resilience (RSS&CR) Project, funded by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).

Held from 21st to 23rd April 2026 at the Ramada Hotel Lahore, this training was a game-changer for strengthening our institutional and technical capabilities.

What we learned:

Day 1: Financial Management & Accountability — mastering budgeting, internal controls, risk management, and transparent donor reporting.

Day 2: Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) — diving deep into Results-Based Management, Theory of Change, logical frameworks, data quality, and impactful performance tracking.

Day 3: Communication & Stakeholder Engagement — gaining practical skills in strategic communication, digital storytelling, social media management, and meaningful community & donor engagement.

This investment in our team's growth will directly translate into better project delivery, stronger accountability, and greater impact for the communities we serve under the RSS&CR Project.

A huge thank you to P*P and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund for creating such a high-quality, practical learning opportunity! 🙏

📍 Mid-Term Review Workshop – Upper Kohistan
A successful Mid-Term Review Workshop on Immunization was organized by HUJRA Village Support Organization (HUJRA) under its ongoing immunization support project in Upper Kohistan.
The session was chaired by Shafiullah Khan, Coordinator EOC KP, and attended by Dr. Mehtab Khan, Director EPI KP, along with senior officials from provincial and district health departments.
In his welcome address, Saleem Ahmad, CEO HUJRA, highlighted that the initiative is supported by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and implemented in collaboration with Mannion Daniels and Oxford Policy Management. He emphasized strengthening routine immunization, addressing implementation gaps, and ensuring sustainability despite challenging terrain and scattered settlements.
💉 Impact Highlights:
✔️ 10 Vaccinators & 4 Community Mobilizers deployed
✔️ Coverage across 15 Union Councils
✔️ Significant reduction in vaccine refusal cases
✔️ Strong community engagement with Ulema, teachers, parents & local leaders
✔️ Improved outreach in remote & high-altitude areas
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment to measurable KPIs, stronger coordination, and ensuring every child in Upper Kohistan receives life-saving vaccines.

The second batch of the Project and Program Cycle Management (PCM) course has been launched in Islamabad by MDF and Helvetas in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). Bringing together participants from across Pakistan, the course is fostering an interactive learning environment where development professionals are actively engaged in peer learning, practical reflection, and shared experiences around effective project and program management.
