Sanitation Project Kickoff in Chiniot
Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP), in collaboration with Al-Siraj Welfare Foundation, has launched an Improved Sanitation Model at 241/JB, Chiniot to replace the unsafe open sewage pond.
Mr. Rafique Sb from Al-Siraj Welfare Foundation and Dr. Abdul Saboor from LPP visited the project site to review progress. They also held a joint meeting with both teams to explore opportunities for future collaboration between LPP, Al-Siraj Welfare Foundation, at the Bakhtawar Girls Chaniot.

The CEO of Lodhran Pilot Project, Dr. Abdul Saboor, along with the LPP team, had the honour of presenting a bouquet to the eminent Shakir Hussain Shakir on his conferment of the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan (August 2026). This distinguished recognition celebrates his lifelong contributions to arts, literature, and cultural compering, a legacy that continues to inspire generation after generation. It is a proud moment not only for him, but for all of Multan and South Punjab, whose rich literary and cultural spirit he so wonderfully represents.

National Plantation Day at LPP Urban Forest
On the occasion of National Plantation Day, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Mr. Tayyab ADCR visited the Lodhran Pilot Project’s Urban Forest at 100 Chak, Lodhran.
During the visit, the DC observed the low-cost model installed at the Urban Forest and also visited the LPP nursery, which has the capacity to produce 80,000 plants annually.
The DC & ADCR, along with Dr. Abdul Saboor, CEO LPP planted plants in the 8-acre expansion area of the Urban Forest.
As part of the National Plantation Day celebrations, a total of 1,200 plants were planted today, contributing towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Lodhran. DC appreciated the LPP’s efforts in making the healthy environment in Lodhran by establishing Urban Forest and provision of free plants.
LPP remains committed to promoting environmental sustainability, expanding green spaces, and engaging communities in building a climate-resilient future.

LPP Signs MoUs to Strengthen Local Partnerships for Green Skills and Youth Empowerment
Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP) signed MoUs with 15 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from the Lodhran and Bahawalpur Divisions under the project "Strengthening Socio-Economic Resilience of Young People through Green Skills." The signing ceremony, held at the LPP Office, Lodhran, marks an important milestone in strengthening local partnerships for sustainable development.
Supported by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the project will strengthen the institutional and technical capacities of local partner CSOs to deliver community-led initiatives, promote green skills, create sustainable livelihood opportunities, enhance climate resilience, and empower young people across South Punjab.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Nand Laal, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, Lodhran, who appreciated LPP's commitment to strengthening local institutions and empowering youth through collaborative partnerships.
Together, we are building the capacity of local partners, creating opportunities for youth, and contributing to a greener, more resilient Pakistan.

Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP) successfully convened a Civil Society Coordination Meeting to strengthen preparedness and response for the evolving monsoon and flood emergency across Lodhran, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan and Bahawalnagar.
The meeting brought together partner CSOs to review the latest situation, share district-level preparedness updates, and enhance coordination for a timely humanitarian response.
Participating organizations also committed to regular situation updates and close coordination with district authorities to ensure an effective, timely, and coordinated emergency response.
Together, through collaboration and collective action, we can better protect vulnerable communities during this monsoon season.

LPP Signs MoUs for Green Skills & Youth Empowerment
Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP) has partnered with 25 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Multan under the project “Strengthening Socio-Economic Resilience of Young People through Green Skills.”
With support from Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ, this collaboration promotes green skills, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and youth empowerment across South Punjab.
Ms. Um-e-Farwa, Divisional Director Social Welfare, praised LPP’s role in advancing youth development.
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Saboor, CEO-LPP, highlighted the vision of a Green Environment Forum to unite CSOs for sustainability.
