The event shed light on the urgent issues of smog and climate change, highlighting the need for collective action, awareness, and sustainable solutions at both local and global levels.

Honored to attend the International Symposium on “Integrating Science, Policy, and Technology for Smog Mitigation”, held at University of the Punjab, Lahore.

This remarkable event brought together leading scientists and policymakers from China and Pakistan — including Prof. Dr. Gan Zhang, Dr. Shizhen Zhao, Dr. Yangzhi Mo, Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmed Shaikh, Ms. Rizwana Anjum, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dr. Dr. Zaeem Bin Babar, Dr. Jabir Syed, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Abdul Qadir, and Dr. Dr. Naeem Akhtar Abbasi — who shared insights on tackling urban smog through innovative, science-backed strategies.

The discussions were especially inspiring — from China’s advanced AI-driven emission forecasting, real-time air quality monitoring, and green industrial technologies, to the ongoing efforts in Lahore to mitigate smog through sustainable urban and policy measures.
