HABIT is an interesting word.

You take the H away, A BIT still remains.

You then take the A away, BIT still remains.

And then you take the B away, IT still remains.

That’s probably why they say, “Old habits die hard.”

One way to deal with our habits is to learn to say NO and that initial NO needs strength.

We can borrow that strength from stronger people, positive habits, or spiritual practice.

Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in a wrong story ... a wrong relationship, a wrong profession, a wrong job, etc

Continuing on can be extremely toxic to our minds. If where we are, is beyond our tolerance/handling threshold, we should consider moving out and moving on.

“If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree” ~ Jim Rohn (with no disrespect to trees of course)

For a vast majority of people that seems to be easier said than done. Moving on seems very hard due to compelling reasons that are so subjective yet very real.

In such a scenario, we need to try and improve the quality of our life by learning the art of rising above the situation ... the art of being there and doing the needful yet also being above it all .... a few things that could help:

A) Seeking the company of positive people who lift our spirits and lend us their strength
B) Increasing our positive absorption
C) Some form of spiritual practice

*معاشرے کو تیزاب سے غسل کی ضرورت ھے۔*

ایک شادی پر جانا ھوا، ھال کے ایک کونے پر اک جان پہچان والے شخص پر نظر پڑی جو اکیلا بیٹھا تھا. اس کے ساتھ جاکر میں بھی بیٹھ گیا. بڑی گرمجوشی سے ملا وہ شخص-
اس کا گاڑیوں کے پرزے اور انجن آئل وغیرہ کا کام ہے-
حال احوال پوچھنے کے بعد وھی عام طور پر کی جانے والی باتیں شروع ھوگئیں یعنی مہنگائی اور کاروباری مندے کا رونا
کہنے لگا آج کل کام کوئی نہیں چل رھا- ابھی پرسوں کی بات ھے، اک بندے نے گاڑی کا آئل تبدیل کروایا- پچیس (2500) سو بل بنا- اس نے پیسے دیئے اور چلا گیا... بعد میں پتا چلا کہ اک ہزار کا نوٹ جعلی دے گیا. اوہ... میرے منہ سے نکلا، پھر. پھر کیا.... بڑی گالیاں نکالی اسے- پتا نھیں کون تھا- پہلی بار آیا تھا- وہ تو شکر ھے میں نے *آئل"جعلی" ڈالا اس کی گاڑی میں* ورنہ میں تو مارا جاتا.

اس دوران “کھانا کھل گیا” کا نعرہ لگا اور پورے ھال میں گویا بھونچال آگیا. وہ مرغ قورمے کا ڈھیر پلیٹ میں لئے فاتحانہ انداز لیے واپس آیا- میں سمجھا شاید میرے لئے بھی لے آیا کھانا-
کہنے لگا، *پاجی, لے آو آپ بھی- بعد میں شادی ھال والے خراب کھانا دینا شروع کر دیتے ھیں.*
میں اٹھا اور بریانی لے کر واپس آگیا- اس سے پوچھا، اس جعلی ہزار کے نوٹ کا کیا کیا تم نے-
کرنا کیا ھے. لڑکے والوں نے شادی پر بلایا ھے. دلہے کے والد کو سلامی میں دے دیا. اور میز کے نیچے چھپائی چار بوتلوں سے ایک نکال کر دو گھونٹ میں خالی کی. چھ سیکنڈ دورانیے کا لمبا ڈکار لینے کے بعد دونوں ہاتھ جوڑے. عقیدت سے آنکھیں بند کی اور بولا....
