Recognition on paper is one thing. Recognition in practice is another.

A graduate may hold a recognized qualification-but if recruitment rules, service structures and professional opportunities do not reflect that qualification, the problem remains.

YETA is asking for practical recognition, not merely words.

Let qualifications work in the real world.

WHEN A VOICE CARRIES A DEEPER MESSAGE 🇵🇰

Sometimes, behind a few emotional words lies years of education, sacrifice, expectations and unanswered questions.

This video represents the voice of an Engineering Technologist seeking clarity about his professional future.

The matter goes beyond one advertisement. It raises a broader question:

If Engineering Technology is recognized as a professional field, why should its qualified graduates remain uncertain about where their qualifications stand in employment?

believes the answer is not confrontation, it is clarity, coordination and a fair policy.

We respectfully call upon , , , and relevant policymakers to address these concerns through a practical and lasting mechanism.

Listen to the voice. Understand the concern. Resolve the issue.

Because every qualification carries a dream, and every graduate deserves a fair opportunity to build a future.

SEVEN YEARS OF Professional EDUCATION - THEN WHAT? 🇵🇰

3 Years DAE + 4 Years BSc Engineering Technology = Years of education, investment, sacrifice and hope.

But what happens when a graduate finally reaches the job market and finds that his qualification is not even considered for a field-based position?

A recent complaint regarding an project’s Site Engineer (Civil) position has once again highlighted the uncertainty faced by -registered Engineering Technologists.

The question is simple:

If recognizes Engineering Technology education, who will ensure that its graduates receive meaningful ?

Students should not spend years earning qualifications only to become victims of institutional confusion.

We do not demand anyone’s rights.

We demand clarity, fairness, recognition and a dignified professional future.

Education must open doors, not create new barriers.

will continue to raise these concerns through lawful, evidence-based and constructive advocacy.

WHEN A QUALIFICATION MEETS A CLOSED DOOR - WHO ANSWERS? 🇵🇰

An Engineering Technologist has raised a serious question regarding an project advertisement for Site Engineer (Civil), where PEC registration is required, while BSc Civil Engineering Technology graduates registered with NTC are excluded.

These graduates have spent years in technical education, earned HEC-recognized qualifications and obtained professional registration, yet when an opportunity arises in a field-based, execution-oriented project, their qualification can become a barrier.

The real concern is not vs .

It is the absence of a clear, coordinated and fair policy for Engineering Technology graduates.

When institutions keep referring the matter from one desk to another, careers cannot remain trapped in a bureaucratic loop.

respectfully calls for:

• • • •

A qualification should not become a after .

If wants , Pakistan must also create a clear for them.

YETA remains committed to a , evidence-based and constructive for the rights and professional future of Engineering Technologists.

STRENGTHENING TEVTA IS IMPORTANT - BUT WHAT ABOUT THE GRADUATES? 🇵🇰

appreciates the initiative to review institutional performance and strengthen technical and vocational education across its 259 institutions.

However, there is another important question that deserves attention:

Who will strengthen the career future of the graduates produced by these institutions?

Pakistan introduced B-Tech education under the 1972 Education Policy, with B.Tech Pass and Honours programmes sanctioned in 1974. This was designed to provide diploma holders with a pathway towards higher technical education.

More than five decades later, generations of B-Tech graduates continue to seek clear , progression and professional .

The important point is not political blame.

It is accountability to education, graduates and future generations.

The PPP has governed Sindh and the country at different times over the decades, yet the long-standing concerns surrounding B-Tech/Engineering Technology graduates still require a comprehensive and lasting solution.

If we are serious about education, development and empowerment, then we must also ensure that those who acquire these qualifications have a clear professional .

Strengthen the institutions.
Strengthen the qualifications.
And strengthen the future of their graduates.

YETA remains committed to a lawful, evidence-based and constructive struggle for recognition, career pathways and professional dignity for Engineering Technologists.

Career Progression Strengthens Technical Education. 🇵🇰

appreciates the recent promotion of 58 employees in KP-TEVTA to higher posts and grades.

The promotion of Diploma Holder Lecturers, Degree Holder Lecturers and Senior Instructors to higher positions is an encouraging step towards professional growth, motivation and institutional strengthening.

Technical education can only flourish when its teachers, instructors and technical professionals are given clear career pathways, recognition and opportunities to progress.

We hope such initiatives continue across Pakistan and contribute to a stronger, respected and professionally empowered and Engineering Technology sector.

Recognize Skills. Reward Competence. Build Careers. Build Pakistan. 🇵🇰

You don’t need another speech about the importance of technical education.

You need to ask the graduates what happens after they complete it.

Listen to their experiences.
Review the policies.
Identify the gaps.
Fix the system.

appreciates the Punjab–National Grid Company Pakistan collaboration aimed at strengthening skills development for the power and energy sector.

The focus on industry-aligned training, updated curricula, Training of Trainers, internships, OJT, industrial visits, practical exposure and employment linkages is exactly the direction our technical education system needs.

Pakistan needs professionals who are not only qualified, but also skilled, practical and industry-ready.

Such partnerships can create stronger pathways for DAE, B-Tech and Engineering Technology graduates to contribute to the country’s infrastructure, energy and industrial development.

Skills + Technology + Industry = A Stronger Pakistan. 🇵🇰
