By the grace and blessings of God, my 22-year journey in expressive art therapy has been very successful, and in these 22 years, a whole history of expressive art therapy in Pakistan was written, in which all this work was done on scientific foundations for the first time in Pakistan. In these 22 years, I conducted seminars, workshops, and certificate courses in Pakistan’s top universities, also at Fountain House Lahore, and in Recovery. So, although I have done many workshops and seminars, the historical events that took place at a very large scale were some of the biggest workshops. One such workshop was held in 2013, at Alhamra Cultural Complex, organized by very respected Sir۔M۔Zubair Ajmal Sahib, who was like a mentor to me. This was the first and biggest workshop in the history of the Art Council, in art and drama therapy, where almost above 300 people participated, from five leading universities and colleges in Pakistan, which included Lahore College University, Government College University Clinical Psychology Department, Garrison University, Cooper Road College, Hunar Kada College, and people from many other universities. In addition, another big workshop of drama therapy in Pakistan was held at GIFT University, also a very large workshop at the Art Council in Gujranwala, organized by GIFT University, with almost 280 participants, including various health professionals, psychiatrists, psychologists, and people from different walks of life, besides students. This was also the largest drama therapy workshop in Pakistan’s history.Mrs Umai laila Hod Psychology Deptt organised that historical the ever first Workshop of Drama Therapy (God bless you Dear Umai Laila)By God’s grace, I presented its methodology, assessment procedures, and techniques there, presenting both my own and Merino’s methodology. These were very big events, and besides these, I conducted workshops in almost 7 to 8 departments of Punjab University. In addition, the workshop at Peshawar University, held in Baraagali, was also a very unique kind of workshop, organized by Professor Dr. Iram Arshad(Hod Psychology Deptt)from the Psychology Department there. Another one I remember was at Kinnard College, which was a huge grant event, with almost 250 people attending from different departments—psychology, fine arts, social sciences, and literature—and this was also a very big workshop, held by the principal, Rukhsana David. So, this journey of achievements continues. At Kohsar University as well, in 2025, a biggest workshop took place, organized by Professor Sulaiman Khan, who organized it there, invited me, and gave me the opportunity to present my methodology, my assessment procedures, and my techniques.
