The Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) team had the privilege of visiting the Government Special Education School, Bahawalnagar, where we were warmly invited to conduct a series of educational and awareness sessions for Deaf students, teachers, and school staff.
Our interactive sessions covered a wide range of essential topics, including personal hygiene, respect for teachers and elders, self-discipline, character building, and the importance of skill development for a successful and independent future. We encouraged Deaf students to embrace learning, develop practical skills, and build confidence to achieve their goals.
In addition, dedicated sessions were conducted for teachers on effective approaches to supporting and understanding Deaf children, along with an introduction to Basic Pakistan Sign Language, helping educators strengthen communication and create a more inclusive learning environment.
We sincerely thank the Government Special Education School, Bahawalnagar for inviting DWAF and providing us with the opportunity to share knowledge, inspire young minds, and contribute to the empowerment of the Deaf community.
