A New Horizon for Biomedical Engineering: Muhammad Muneeb Ahmad Mughal Earns Recognition as
, / , King Edward Medical University Lahore / Hospital Lahore, and (Technocrats) Biomedical Engineering Sustainability & Transforming World -BEST Progressive Society, has marked another significant milestone for the Biomedical Engineering profession through his role as an / of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council ( ).
During 1st to 4th September 2026, he participated in detailed technical and clinical inspections of leading medical and dental institutions in Karachi, including Dental College and Hospital Trust, General Hospital, Karachi, and Dental College and Hospital, Baqai Medical University. The inspections covered biomedical engineering facilities, medical equipment and machinery, technical infrastructure, equipment functionality, safety arrangements, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery facilities, critical patient-care services and other relevant technical requirements in accordance with PMDC standards and regulatory principles.
His selection as a PMDC External Expert/Inspector is being regarded as a remarkable professional achievement and a source of immense pride for the Biomedical Engineering community. His growing engagement in healthcare regulation, medical education, patient safety and health-technology governance reflects the expanding horizons of the Biomedical Engineering profession in Pakistan.
