A proud and memorable academic milestone was achieved as our Final Year Project (FYP) Viva was successfully conducted with the participation of respected external examiners, Syed Atta Hussain Shah, Engr. Ahmad Siddique, and Engr. Humaira Zulfiqar.

The FYP Viva is a critical moment in every student’s academic journey, marking the transition from classroom learning to professional readiness before graduation. Our students confidently presented, defended, and successfully completed this important evaluation, reflecting their hard work, teamwork, technical understanding, and dedication.

Special thanks to Dr. Zohaib Atiq Khan for his systematic coordination of the entire FYP process, from group formation and continuous guidance to the final evaluation stage. His efforts played an important role in ensuring a smooth, organized, and meaningful assessment process for the students.

The Chairman of the Department, Dr. Hamayoun Mahmood, extended sincere thanks to all external examiners, guests, and faculty members for their valuable time, professional input, and support in making the FYP Viva a successful academic activity.

Our 2nd-year students of Session 2024, currently in their 4th semester, proudly presented their semester projects along with impressive prototypes, highlighting different unit processes used in chemical industries.

The energy, confidence, and enthusiasm of the students were truly commendable. Their explanations, teamwork, and responses during cross-questioning reflected both creativity and practical understanding.

The event was led by our respected Chairman, Dr. Hamayoun Mahmood, who appreciated the students’ efforts and encouraged them to continue connecting theoretical concepts with practical applications.

The energy on the floor was truly unmatched, and the cross-questioning made the event even more engaging and exciting.

Students of Department of Chemical, Polymer and Composite Materials Engineering (Session 2023) had the opportunity to visit the Fatimafert Limited plant at Sheikhupura. The visit proved to be an excellent learning experience for our students related to ammonia and urea production, plant operations, safety practices, and large-scale chemical manufacturing.. The students greatly benefited from interacting with field engineers. Such industrial exposure plays a vital role in broadening students’ perspectives and strengthening their professional goals.

We are sincerely thankful for the exceptional hospitality and cooperation extended by the host team throughout the visit. Special acknowledgement goes to Fatima B. for her direct communication and coordination regarding all arrangements.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Munir and his team Muhammad Sheraz, Nusayr Yousaf, Abdullah Bhatti, Haider Ali, Fatima Mukhtar and Saira Nasir for leading and facilitating the visit in such a professional manner. A special thanks to Faisal Jamal for sparing his valuable time to interact with the students. His insightful discussion, professional guidance, and motivating interaction will certainly inspire many students in shaping their future aspirations and thought processes.

Acknowledgement is also due to our alumni — Aneeza Manzoor, Shahzaib Malik, and Jazlan Haider — for their support and interaction with students. Special thanks to Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman for his coordination efforts with Fatima Fertilizer in making this visit possible and Hamayoun Mahmood for making this visit possible.

Industrial visits like these serve as an important bridge between academia and industry, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

AIChE UET Lahore New Campus successfully organized an MS Office Training – Introductory Session to help students strengthen their academic and professional digital skills.

The session focused on the practical use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint for creating assignments, reports, presentations, and academic graphs with confidence.

We appreciate all participants for their active interest and thank the organizing team for making this session successful.

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) accreditation team visited the Department of Chemical, Polymer and Composite Materials Engineering for an academic and facilities review.

During the visit, the PEC team also interacted with faculty members and students to discuss academic activities, learning practices, and departmental facilities. The team appreciated the department’s teaching and learning processes and acknowledged the efforts being made toward academic excellence and quality education.
