Alzheimer's Pakistan Alzheimer's Pakistan is the National Organization of Alzheimer's and related dementias Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia.

Dementia is a collective name for progressive degenerative brain syndromes which affect memory, thinking, behavior and emotion. The chemistry of the brain changes and cells, nerves and transmitters are attacked. Eventually the brain shrinks as gaps develop. Symptoms may include:

Loss of memory
difficulty in finding the right words or understanding what people are saying
difficulty in performing previously routine tasks
personality and mood changes

An Alzheimer’s Awareness Session (Dementia Friends Training Program) was organized by Alzheimer’s Pakistan at SS public high school participants on dementia care and management.
Hafiz Muhammad Adnan led the session, engaging Participants students and teachers in an informative discussion on Alzheimer’s disease, early signs, risk factors, and caregiving strategies.

Raising awareness, building empathy, and creating a more dementia-friendly future.

A meaningful Dementia Friends Training Program was conducted at The Smart School Al-Haram Campus For Boys for the students of 9th & 10th grade. The session was led by Maimoona Muhammed, focusing on early signs, symptoms, prevention, and the importance of understanding dementia in our communities.

An Alzheimer's awareness session (Dementia Friend training Program) was organized by Alzheimer's Pakistan at Iqbal Model school and College Multan to educate participants on dementia care and management.
Muhammad Bilal led the session, engaging Participants students and teacher in an informative discussion on Alzheimer's disease, early signs risk factor and caregiving strategies.

An insightful and engaging Dementia Friends Training Program was conducted by Maimoona Muhammed at the University College of Medicine & Dentistry (UCMD), The University of Lahore.

The session provided valuable insights into dementia, its impact on memory, behavior, and daily life, while highlighting the importance of empathy and community support for individuals and families living with the condition. Medical Residents and faculty actively engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at promoting awareness and compassionate care.

The session also emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and timely intervention in improving quality of life and ensuring better support for individuals living with dementia.

Special thanks to Dr. Saima Rafique for organizing such a meaningful and impactful awareness session and providing an opportunity to learn about an important healthcare concern.

A very interactive session on Alzheimer's Awareness session 'A Talk on Alzheimer & Role of Care Givers' was held at ICMS High School (Haji Camp Branch) with Boys students of 10 class & 1st year including teachers, under the auspices of Alzheimer's Pakistan, Peshawar Chapter. Mian Atiq Ur Rehman delivered a comprehensive lecture on Alzheimer and the students and teachers role in Dementia awareness.
A total of 38 participants including teachers attended.

Q/A session was also held. Certificates and flyers were distributed among participants.

Mian Atiq thanked Principal for his regular support & cooperation in Alzheimer's awareness dissemination.

A very interactive session on Alzheimer's Awareness 'A Talk on Alzheimer & Role of Care Givers' was held at National Nursing College & Management of Health (New Batch) with nursing &Health students including Dementia patients Care Givers under the auspices of Alzheimer's Pakistan, Peshawar Chapter. Mian Atiq Ur Rehman delivered a comprehensive lecture on Alzheimer and the role of nurses and care givers in Dementia awareness at community level.
A total of 26 students including care givers attended.
