The mission of Shamim Akhtar Foundation – Creating Smiles is to provide support and assistance to individuals and families facing hardships, with a particular focus on two key areas:
i) Supporting Costs related to Funeral/Burial Arrangements. While these causes serve as the foundation’s core focus, we are committed to
addressing a wide range of significant social issues affecting our community. Purpose:
i) Funeral/Burial Support:
Shamim Akhtar Foundation – Creating Smiles aims to alleviate the financial burden associated with funeral and burial expenses for individuals and families in need. We recognise that these costs can be overwhelming during times of grief and loss. Through our foundation, we will financial assistance, guidance, and resources to help ease the financial strain and ensure that individuals can give their loved ones a dignified farewell. ii) Wedding Arrangements for Orphan Girls:
We are dedicated to empowering orphan girls by enabling them to celebrate their weddings with joy and dignity. Shamim Akhtar Foundation strives to remove financial barriers that may prevent these girls from experiencing the happiness and fulfilment that comes with their special day. By providing financial support and resources for wedding arrangements, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment for these young women. iii) Expanding Scope:
While our foundation’s primary focus is on supporting funeral/burial costs and facilitating wedding arrangements for orphan girls, we are committed to addressing other major social issues within our society. We recognise that various challenges and hardships impact individuals and communities in different ways. Therefore, we are open to considering and addressing a wide range of significant socials issues, including but not limited to education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, women’s empowerment, and community development.
