Aoa everyone, as I mentioned in my previous post, I published my own book at the age of 11 and have been writing poetry since I was 6. My book contains poems that vary in genre, starting from silly and funny, to deep and meaningful, in which most of them you can - or once could - relate to.

So, what are you waiting for? Click the link below and start reading!

"My Mind's Diary", poems written by a 10 year old who is maturing over time and allowing you to see the world through her eyes. As each poem passes by, a new powerful message or emotion is conveyed, even in the silly and doltish ones. So, what are you waiting for? Start reading!

Hi Everyone! My name is Namwar Ahmed, I am just an ordinary 12 year old girl, except for the fact that I have published my own book and am the Youngest Poetess of Pakistan!
Let me give you a little background story. I have lived with my mom and my grandparents ever since I was born. My grandparents are both artists which is part of the reason why the art in me was magnified enough for me to have written enough poems to be shortlisted, edited, and illustrated in the form of a book. I have always received consistent support and encouragement from my grandparents and - most important of all - my mother, who is also one of my role models.
Of course I love her most in the world. After all she is my mother. But you must wonder what is so special about her that makes her my role model? She is not JUST my mother, but has been my father aswell until I blew out the candles of 10.
My grandmother too is an exceptional woman; an athlete who led Pakistan in the Asian Games and won over 200 trophies and medals. After retiring from her career as an athlete, she excelled in the league of artistry and is one of the top artists of Pakistan.
Unfortunately, millions - if not billions - of other women/girls all over the world who are just as powerful, awe inspiring and talented - maybe even more - as my mother and grandmother do not receive the recognition they deserve. Which leads me to why I created the foundation you are currently looking at.
I was inspired by the greats (Malala Yousafzai, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, Joanne Kathleen Rowling, just to name a few ) to pave my own pathway in life and to start my own foundation dedicated to help give voice to those females whose beautiful voice has gone unheard.
Global warming, climate change, world hunger, womens’ and children’s rights are just a few global issues out of the countless that are putting the future of this earth at risk. I want for the female youth, whose young minds are developing unprecedented creativity and ideas, to receive enough watering and sunshine to grow into women who can and will change our future for the better.
Females are just as able minded, creative, entrepreneurial, solution oriented, skilled problem solvers as males are. However, our efforts are not acknowledged. A young girl will have so many ideas and questions which are pushed away in the name of household chores and duties. We must feed into these ideas and questions, for they can lead to great discoveries, inventions and so much more, if you only allow them to! I am just a single droplet of water in the ocean that consists of so many other talented young women, whose talent is not observed due to lack of support or resources, and I would like to change that.
My main initiative is to encourage girls to write stories, poems, letters, or any other form of writing that only requires a pen, a few pages and their creative mind. All that is needed is a little support to get them started, and that is the purpose that I want for my organization to fulfill.
Now, you may ask, “How exactly is she going to do this?” In order to start off on something, we always require material to start working on it. So many creative minds can be found in girls’ government schools who lack enthusiasm and spirit due to it being pushed down by conservative environments, close mindedness, and at times even violence. Although, what must be realized is that no amount of negative energy can defeat the inner passion or desire. I want to collect pieces of literature written by girls all over Pakistan and tether these pieces together to create a monthly magazine.
Any girl can send in any literary piece or even at times artwork with their name (or even choose to be anonymous) to be published in our monthly magazine.
It might be just a piece of paper with ink on it for us, but for the person who wrote it, they have spilled heart, emotion and tears that they couldn’t share otherwise. Sometimes, we do not want to speak, we do not want to explain, we just want to be known and to be seen without telling, and writing is the best way to do it.
