نفسیاتی علاج اور بحالی کے اداروں کا تحفظ قومی ذمہ داری ہے، سوسائٹی

پشاور: پاکستان سائیکائٹرک سوسائٹی نے فاؤنٹین ہاؤس پشاور کی موجودہ حیثیت یا شناخت میں کسی بھی ممکنہ تبدیلی پر گہری تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے اس کی مخالفت کی ہے۔ سوسائٹی کے مطابق فاؤنٹین ہاؤس ایک منفرد اور اہم ادارہ ہے جو کئی دہائیوں سے ذہنی امراض میں مبتلا افراد کو علاج، بحالی اور نفسیاتی معاونت فراہم کر رہا ہے۔

سوسائٹی نے کہا کہ خیبر پختونخوا میں ذہنی صحت کی سہولیات پہلے ہی محدود ہیں، اس لیے ایسے اداروں کی مضبوطی اور خودمختاری کو یقینی بنانا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔ کسی بھی غیر مناسب انتظامی یا ساختی تبدیلی سے مریضوں کی دیکھ بھال اور ذہنی صحت کی خدمات متاثر ہو سکتی ہیں۔

پاکستان سائیکائٹرک سوسائٹی نے اس بات پر بھی زور دیا کہ نفسیاتی اداروں کی قیادت اور انتظام ایسے ماہرین کے سپرد ہونا چاہیے جو ذہنی صحت کے شعبے میں تجربہ، مہارت اور عملی فہم رکھتے ہوں تاکہ مریضوں کے بہترین مفاد کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

سوسائٹی نے حکومتِ خیبر پختونخوا اور متعلقہ اداروں سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ فاؤنٹین ہاؤس پشاور کی پیشہ ورانہ شناخت، خدمات اور ادارہ جاتی خودمختاری کو برقرار رکھا جائے اور تمام فیصلے میرٹ، عوامی مفاد اور پیشہ ورانہ اصولوں کے مطابق کیے جائیں۔

پاکستان سائیکائٹرک سوسائٹی نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ ذہنی صحت کے شعبے کی بہتری، مریضوں کے حقوق کے تحفظ اور نفسیاتی خدمات کے فروغ کے لیے اپنی کوششیں جاری رکھے گی

Dr. Syed Muhammad Sultan —

It is with deep sadness and a profound sense of loss that we share the passing of Dr. Syed Muhammad Sultan, a distinguished senior psychiatrist, respected colleague, and cherished friend.
Dr. Sultan dedicated his life to the service of others through the field of psychiatry, where his compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment left an indelible mark on countless patients, students, and peers. He was not only an accomplished clinician but also a mentor whose guidance shaped the careers of many who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Known for his calm demeanor and thoughtful insight, Dr. Sultan approached every patient with empathy and dignity, believing firmly in the healing power of understanding and human connection. His contributions to mental health care extended beyond clinical practice, as he consistently advocated for greater awareness, reduced stigma, and improved access to psychiatric services.
To his colleagues, he was a source of inspiration and steady support. His professionalism was matched only by his kindness, humility, and generosity of spirit. He fostered an environment of collaboration and learning, always encouraging others to strive for excellence while remaining grounded in compassion.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Sultan will be remembered as a warm and gracious individual, a loyal friend, and a person of deep integrity. His presence brought comfort and reassurance to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Condolence Message on the Murder of Dr. Mehwish in Kohat.

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the brutal murder of Dr. Mehwish in Kohat. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and colleagues. This heinous act of violence is a tragic reminder of the dangers faced by healthcare professionals in our country.

Dr. Mehwish was a dedicated and passionate healthcare professional who served her community with compassion and commitment. Her untimely death is a loss not only to her family but to the entire medical fraternity.

The Pakistan Psychiatric society Urge authorities to take concrete steps to ensure healthcare professionals' safety.

Let's honor Dr. Mehwish's memory by working towards a better future for our healthcare heroes. 💔
