The Operational Design and Business Model (ODBM) Consultants organized a one-day session on Friday, 12th December 2025, marking the conclusion of a significant journey toward strengthened institutional capacity and sustainable, long-term outcomes. The event brought together key stakeholders and comprised four core components:
1: Training session on the quantification of carbon credits in the solid waste management sector in Bahawalpur
2: Dissemination ceremony of Urdu Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
3: Screening of project-developed media content for public awareness
4: Closure of the ODBM consultancy
During the session, a structured capacity-building training was delivered on carbon credit quantification in the solid waste management sector, with specific reference to Bahawalpur. The training covered emissions reduction methodologies, baseline setting, data requirements, and practical considerations for developing bankable carbon credit projects in alignment with internationally recognized standards.
The event also marked the official dissemination of Urdu O&M Manuals to relevant departments and field staff, aimed at standardizing operational practices, improving efficiency, and strengthening on-ground implementation. In addition, media content developed under the project was screened with the objective of informing, engaging, and encouraging positive behavioural change among the public.
Furthermore, Team Lead ODBM, Mr. Ali Tariq, presented an overview of the project’s evolution, highlighting the completion of key milestones, significance of key outcomes, reflecting on lessons learned, acknowledging the collective efforts of all stakeholders, and formally announcing the successful conclusion of the consultancy.
In recognition of the project’s achievements, the Deputy Program Director Mr. Shahid Latif, on behalf of the Program Management Unit (PMU), spoke words of appreciation for the work done by the ODBM Consultants. The event concluded with the closing remarks and distributions of souvenirs by the Secretary LD&CDD, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Mian, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of the ODBM Team and the key stakeholders for their commitment and support throughout the project.
