Youm-e-Tashakur – “Shukriya Pakistan: A Tribute to Unity, Sacrifice”
On May 16, 2025, District administration kohistan lower hosted Youm-e-Tashakur at the Army Garision School Patran, Kohistan Lower. This patriotic gathering celebrated the national spirit of gratitude and honored the outstanding achievement of Bunyan un Marsoos. By bringing together government officials, community leaders, and citizens, the event paid tribute to Pakistan’s institutions and defenders, fostered a shared sense of unity and pride, and raised awareness of this historic milestone and its lasting impact on our nation’s progress
The celebration drew enthusiastic participation from across the district—representatives of every district department, local students, community elders, religious leaders, and political figures all came together to make the day truly memorable.
The diverse participation of government officials, students, community elders, religious leaders, and political figures made the event lively and truly reflective of community unity.
Activities Highlights:
• Flag Hoisting: A dignified tribute to national unity.
• Patriotic Speeches: Inspiring words from the Deputy Commissioner , elders, and local leaders.
• Fatiha & Prayers: Special prayers for martyrs and Pakistan’s peace and prosperity.

Dialogue on Enhancing Indigenous Language Promotion Efforts

Honored to participate in this important dialogue representing IPN. It was a great opportunity to discuss strategies for the preservation and promotion of indigenous languages with dedicated linguists, researchers, and community leaders.

Language is a vital part of our identity, and collaborative efforts like these are essential to safeguarding our linguistic heritage. Looking forward to further engagement and impactful initiatives!

کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے اس اہم مکالمے میں شرکت کرنا میرے لیے اعزاز کی بات تھی۔ یہ ایک بہترین موقع تھا کہ ماہر لسانیات، محققین اور کمیونٹی رہنماؤں کے ساتھ مقامی زبانوں کے تحفظ اور فروغ کے لیے حکمت عملیوں پر تبادلہ خیال کیا جائے۔

زبان ہماری شناخت کا ایک اہم حصہ ہے، اور ایسے مشترکہ اقدامات ہماری لسانی وراثت کے تحفظ کے لیے نہایت ضروری ہیں۔ مزید تعاون اور مؤثر اقدامات کے منتظر!

بین الاقوامی مادری زبان کا دن لوئر کوہستان میں منایا گیا

آج ہم نے بین الاقوامی مادری زبان کا دن ٹورسٹ ان ہوٹل، لوئر کوہستان میں جوش و خروش کے ساتھ منایا، جس میں یونائیٹڈ کوہستان کے لوگوں نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔

تقریب میں مادری زبانوں کی اہمیت اور ثقافتی تحفظ میں ان کے کردار پر جامع تقاریر ہوئیں۔ اس موقع پر ایک پینل ڈسکشن بھی ہوا، جس میں وسیع تر کوہستان کے شناختی بنیادوں پر ترقی—چیلنجز اور مستقبل کا لائحہ عمل پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ ماہرین نے اس بحث میں حصہ لیا اور حاضرین کے مختلف سوالات کے جوابات دیے۔

تقریب کا ایک اہم حصہ دو کتابوں کی رونمائی تھی:
📖 "انڈس کوہستانی زبان میں پہیلیاں" از متبر شاہ راشد، جس کا ترجمہ اردو اور انگریزی میں کیا گیا ہے۔
📖 "تقی نامہ"، جو کئی مصنفین کی مشترکہ کاوش ہے۔

ہمیں یہ اعزاز بھی حاصل ہوا کہ جناب انعام اللہ توروالی نے اس تقریب میں بطور پینلسٹ شرکت کی۔ انہوں نے توروالی کوہستانی زبان میں قرآن پاک کے ترجمے کے اپنے تجربے پر روشنی ڈالی اور زبانوں کے تحفظ کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔

دونوں کتابیں شرکاء میں تقسیم کی گئیں تاکہ مادری زبانوں کے فروغ اور حفاظت کے پیغام کو عام کیا جا سکے۔ اس تقریب نے لسانی ورثے کی اہمیت اور اسے آئندہ نسلوں کے لیے محفوظ رکھنے کی اجتماعی ذمہ داری کو اجاگر کیا۔

آئیے ہم اپنی لسانی تنوع کو منانے اور محفوظ رکھنے کا عزم جاری رکھیں!

International Mother Language Day Celebrated in Lower Kohistan

Today, we proudly celebrated International Mother Language Day at Tourist Inn Hotel, Lower Kohistan, with enthusiastic participation from people across United Kohistan.

The event featured insightful speeches on the significance of mother languages and their role in cultural preservation. A panel discussion was also held on identity-based development in the broader Kohistan region—challenges and the way forward, where experts engaged in meaningful dialogue, addressing various questions from the audience.

A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of two books:
📖 Riddles in Indus Kohistani Language by Mutabar Shah Rashid, with translations in Urdu and English.
📖 Taqi Nama, a collaborative work by multiple authors.

We were honored to have Mr. Inamullah Torwali as a panelist, who shared his experience with translating the Holy Quran into the Torwali Kohistani language, emphasizing the importance of linguistic preservation.

Both books were distributed among participants, reinforcing the need to promote and protect mother languages. The event successfully raised awareness about the value of linguistic heritage and the collective responsibility to safeguard it for future generations.

21 February International Mother Language Day 2025 –
A Celebration of Linguistic Heritage in Pattan, Kohistan Lower

This day is dedicated to honoring our mother languages, promoting their preservation, and highlighting their importance in education, culture, and identity. We invite everyone from United Kohistan who values and cherishes their native language to join us in this celebration.

The event will feature cultural performances, discussions, and activities that showcase the richness of Kohistani and other indigenous languages. Let’s come together to celebrate and protect our linguistic heritage!

ہمیں یہ اعلان کرتے ہوئے خوشی ہو رہی ہے کہ بین الاقوامی مادری زبان کا دن 21 فروری 2025 کو پٹن، کوہستان لوئر میں منایا جائے گا! یہ اہم تقریب کوہستانی ثقافتی ترقیاتی پروگرام (KCDP) کے زیر اہتمام Initiative for People in Need-IPN اور کے تعاون سے منعقد کی جا رہی ہے۔

یہ دن ہماری مادری زبانوں کی تکریم، ان کے تحفظ کو فروغ دینے، اور تعلیم، ثقافت اور شناخت میں ان کے کردار کو اجاگر کرنے کے لیے منایا جاتا ہے۔ ہم یونائیٹڈ کوہستان کے تمام افراد کو دعوت دیتے ہیں جو اپنی مادری زبان سے محبت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ اس تقریب میں شرکت کریں۔

اس تقریب میں مختلف موضوعات پر مقررین خطاب کرینگے، مکالمے اور سرگرمیاں شامل ہوں گی جو کوہستانی اور دیگر مقامی زبانوں کی خوبصورتی اور تنوع کو اجاگر کریں گی۔ آئیں، مل کر اپنے لسانی ورثے کا جشن منائیں اور اس کا تحفظ کریں!
