📚 Second Phase of Trickle-Down Training (TDT) on iCCM – Karak 🏥

A successful four-day TDT on Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) for Malaria, TB & HIV/AIDS was conducted at the DHO Office, Karak, from 29 September to 2 October 2026.

👨‍🏫 Master Trainer & Facilitator:
• Mr. Naveed Hassan – M&E Coordinator, FPHC (Master Trainer)
• Mr. Zabih Ullah – District Coordinator, FPHC (Facilitator)

👩‍⚕️ 16 LHWs participated, representing 100% attendance, from the targeted Union Councils including Sabirabad and Nari Panos.

🤝 The training focused on strengthening community-level capacity for prevention, early identification, referral, documentation, and management of Malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS, while promoting effective community engagement and coordination with relevant health programs.

The activity also strengthened collaboration among the District Health Management Team and relevant health programs to support quality, integrated, and community-based healthcare services. 🌍💙

A four-day Trickle Down Training (TDT) on Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM)** for **Malaria, TB & HIV/AIDS** is currently underway at the DHO Office, Bannu.

👨‍🏫 Facilitators:
• Dr. Hassan – Training & BCC Manager, FPHC
• Shahid Jamal – District Coordinator, FPHC
• Mr. Yaqoob Shah – MEAL Officer, IHHN
• Mr. M. Numan – District Logistic Officer, FPHC

👥 Participation: 22 out of 22 nominated participants (100% participation)

🏥 The training brings together members of the District Health Management Team (DHMT) and External Monitors, including representatives from the DMU, LHW Programme, TB Programme, and IVC.

🤝 The session focuses on strengthening participants’ knowledge, skills, coordination, and practical capacity to support **quality, integrated community-based health services**.

💙 FPHC remains committed to building a stronger and more capable healthcare workforce and improving access to quality health services at the community level.

🌟 One Year of Impact | One Year of Saving Lives 🌟

Today, we proudly celebrate one successful year of the first-ever Evening Malaria Screening & Treatment Center at City Hospital Lakki Marwat.

Since its inauguration on 04 August 2025, this initiative has made quality malaria services accessible beyond routine OPD hours, ensuring that patients receive free, timely diagnosis and treatment when they need it most.

📊 One-Year Highlights:
✅ 5,201 patients screened free of cost
✅ 909 malaria-positive patients diagnosed & treated
🦟 878 Plasmodium vivax cases detected
🦟 31 Plasmodium falciparum cases detected
💊 96.3% of confirmed patients received free anti-malarial medicines and treatment

This milestone reflects the power of collaboration between Frontier Primary Health Care (FPHC), The Indus Hospital & Health Network, the Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the dedicated healthcare professionals serving the people of Lakki Marwat.

🤝 Monthly Stakeholders' Coordination Meeting | Malaria Control Program, KP

Frontier Primary Health Care (FPHC) proudly participated in the Monthly Stakeholders' Coordination Meeting of the Integrated Vector Control/Malaria Control Program, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

🦟 The meeting focused on reviewing the malaria situation, assessing program progress, addressing implementation challenges, and strengthening coordination to enhance malaria control efforts across the province.

Together, we are working towards a malaria-free Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 💙
