Give it up for Iqra Asim- our Project Coordinator and recipient of Global Changemakers grant 🌟💪
She has done incredible work expanding access to menstrual health education through our Period at School Program. SWith the support of this grant, she organized education sessions in 2 schools in Karachi reaching over 189 girls and 31 teachers. Using animated film screenings and interactive workshops to break stigma, she was able to create enabling environment and space for honest conversations about menstruation. 🩸
Rooted in empathy, Iqra’s work proves that when young people lead, menstrual equity can become a reality. 👑

Dream Trust School has a special place in our hearts , as it is one of the first schools where we initiated our school program 7 years ago. 🫶🏻

Period-friendly washrooms are a necessity - not a luxury.
Clean, safe, and accessible toilets are essential for girls to manage their period in a hygienic way and stay in school. Through our school program, we continue to advocate for period-friendly toilets that support girls’ menstrual health and ensure they feel safe in the school. Menstrual health education is not optional - it's fundamental.
At HER Pakistan, we believe every menstruator has a right to timely, age-appropriate menstrual health education before her first period, not after. Our Period at School sessions equip girls with the knowledge they need to navigate through menstruation with confidence.

Teachers are often the most trusted adults young girls turn to for guidance when it comes to their first period, yet many teachers aren’t equipped or empowered to talk about menstruation with confidence.
At HER Pakistan, we believe that teachers can provide appropriate and timely information and support that girls require during their puberty years. We are empowering and educating teachers to lead the conversation and create safe, stigma-free environments where every girls can thrive and continue their education without any barriers.

Flipping through knowledge, one story at a time! 📖✨

The Grow & Know books are a perfect addition to our period kits. The book captures the perspectives of young people growing up today, and incorporates their stories alongside factual guidance on the physical and emotional changes of puberty. The book is a great tool for girls to learn about their bodies with culturally-appropriate content in a language that they understand and in a format that they enjoy. 📖📚
