The Department of Mathematics proudly participated in the International Multidisciplinary Conference held today at Shah Abdul Latif University with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. Faculty members, research scholars, MS, MPhil, and PhD students of the department actively participated in different technical and research sessions of the conference.

A special highlight of the event was the inspiring keynote address delivered by Dr. Liaqat Lund, who presented a wonderful and thought-provoking talk on contemporary research trends and interdisciplinary approaches. His valuable presentation was highly appreciated by all participants and scholars.

The conference provided an excellent platform for academic interaction, research collaboration, and exchange of innovative ideas among scholars from various disciplines and institutions.

On this memorable occasion, the Department also received shields and certificates in recognition of its active participation and academic contributions. Congratulations to all faculty members, organizers, and scholars who represented the department with dedication and professionalism.

Department of Mathematics Conducts Entry Test for MS, MPhil & PhD Admissions 2026

The Department of Mathematics successfully conducted the Entry Test for admission to the MS, MPhil, and PhD programs for Session 2026 in a transparent, disciplined, and professional environment. The test was supervised by Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Prof. Dr. Hisam Uddin Shaikh, Dr. Inayatullah Soomro, Dr. Israr Ahmed Memon, Dr. Sohail Ahmed Memon, along with faculty and staff members.
Renowned academician Dr. Liaqat Ali Baloch served as the External Examiner and appreciated the arrangements and transparency maintained during the examination process.
Chairman of the Department, Prof. Dr. Hisam Uddin Shaikh, supervised the overall arrangements and emphasized the department’s commitment to merit, academic excellence, and transparency in higher education admissions.
A large number of candidates from different regions appeared in the test, reflecting growing interest in advanced studies and research in Mathematics. Faculty members efficiently performed their duties as invigilators and coordinators, ensuring the peaceful and smooth conduct of the examination.
The department expressed gratitude to Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, the Teaching Committee, and supporting staff for their valuable cooperation in successfully organizing the entry test. Candidates also appreciated the examination environment, management, and facilities provided by the department.

Semester Exams in the Department of Mathematics are being conducted peacefully and successfully.

Keeping students’ well-being in mind during the intense heat, the Department of Mathematics also arranged fresh juice for students to help them stay hydrated and protected from heat stroke.

The Department of Mathematics organized a Heat Stroke Awareness Campaign for students during the semester examinations to promote health, safety, and well-being in the ongoing hot weather conditions.

Prof. Dr. Hisam Uddin Shaikh appreciated the efforts of the team and encouraged such welfare activities for the benefit of students. The campaign aimed to create awareness about preventive measures against heat stroke and ensure a healthy examination environment for all students.
