🌟 Embracing Leadership & Service Above Self 🌟

The Rotary Club of Karachi Elite (RID 3271) had the distinct honor of hosting the Official Visit of our esteemed District Governor, Shakeel Kaimkhani, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Services Mess. This memorable occasion marked a significant milestone for our club, filling the atmosphere with renewed purpose, inspiration, and Rotary fellowship.

The elegant High Tea gathering was further graced by the presence of District Governor-Elect Shahzad Sabir, District Governor-Nominee Ch. Fahad Sikandar, Assistant Governor Ms. Shehla Datta, and District Secretary Furqan Ali Sheikh. Their presence added prestige and warmth to an already remarkable afternoon.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem, setting a respectful and patriotic tone for the gathering. RCK Elite President Muhammad Rizwan Jaffar then delivered a heartfelt welcome address, warmly greeting the distinguished guests and appreciating the unwavering commitment of Rotary leadership toward strengthening humanitarian service and fellowship. His inspiring remarks set a positive and gracious tone for the afternoon.

An insightful presentation by Mirza Mukarram Baig followed, leading into motivating addresses from Assistant Governor Ms. Shehla Datta and District Governor Shakeel Kaimkhani, who commended the club’s progress and encouraged members to continue pushing the boundaries of community service.

The celebration truly reflected the spirit of Rotary through heartfelt recognition ceremonies. The District Governor was honored with a bouquet presented by Uzma Sahir, the Club Flag by Secretary Rosemary, and a traditional Ajrak along with an honorary shield by President Muhammad Rizwan Jaffar. Bouquets were also presented to DGE Shahzad Sabir and DGN Ch. Fahad Sikandar by Shabnam Akbar in appreciation of their gracious presence.

Special recognition was given to Foundation Chair Yousuf Aziz (received by Shabnam Akbar) and Azra Ali for their outstanding dedication and community service. The inspiring pinning ceremony conducted by the District Governor, followed by a gracious Vote of Thanks by Secretary Rosemary, beautifully concluded the event.

🌱 **Cultivating Community: RCK Elite’s Collaborative Plantation Drive at SRSC** 🌱

The **Rotary Club Karachi Elite** proudly spearheaded the **Plantation Drive 2026** held on **Thursday, 30th April 2026 (10:00 am – 12:00 noon)**, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.

The initiative focused on enriching the local ecosystem by planting fruit-bearing trees including **Lemon, Badam, and Guava**, contributing to a greener and healthier environment for the students of the **Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Children (SRSC)**.

We were delighted to be joined by **25 guests** along with enthusiastic SRSC students, who actively participated in planting activities at the Sports Ground—making the event truly meaningful and impactful.

This successful drive was made possible through the collaboration of eight dedicated organizations:
**SRSC, Rotary Club Karachi Elite, Rotary Club Karachi Corporate Alliance, The Inner Wheel Club, The Flying Carpet Company, Noor ul Huda Education, Peacock’s Fabrics, and Laal Roti.**

We extend our sincere gratitude to SRSC for graciously hosting this initiative and to all partners and participants for their invaluable support.

🌙 **Ramadan & Eid Compassion Report** 🌙

This season, the spirit of **Service Above Self** came to life as we partnered with **Laal Roti** to transform collective generosity into a meaningful lifeline for families in need.

Our shared mission went beyond simple distribution—we focused on preserving dignity and personally reaching those who often face hardship in silence. Through a carefully vetted process, we ensured support reached the most deserving households directly.

📦 **Impact Summary:**
• 375 Ramadan Ration Bags (Rs. 3,500 – Rs. 10,000)
• 55 Eid Ration Bags (Rs. 5,000 each)
**Total: 430 Ration Bags Delivered**

Each package was more than assistance—it was a gesture of care, respect, and solidarity. This initiative ensured that the light of Ramadan and the joy of Eid reached countless doorsteps with dignity and compassion.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all supporters and partners who made this heartfelt effort possible.

We are proud to share that RCK Elite successfully sponsored 30 cataract eye surgeries at Naseem Iqbal Eye & Diabetic Center from February 2026 to 30th April 2026.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to improving lives by restoring vision and supporting quality healthcare for those in need. Each successful surgery represents a brighter, clearer future for individuals and their families.
