What is it like to work as a blind professional in the medical field? Find out during our next Career Insights workshop featuring Jason Calhoun, a blind nurse.

Jason is a Navy veteran with extensive healthcare experience in roles including hospital corpsman, physical therapy tech, emergency room tech, ICU nurse, and more. After losing his vision in 2022 due to Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON), Jason’s role shifted to accommodate his vision loss while continuing to leverage his vast experience.

Join us on Thursday, September 25 at 4:30pm PT for an insightful conversation with Jason about his adjustment to vision loss and his experience in the medical field. This career education series is open to everyone, and we highly encourage anyone with visual impairments ages 12 and up to join us!
