Yesterday, on the 22nd of April, 2025, the Save Indus Students Alliance led a march against the violent canals project and corporate land grab under the Green Pakistan Initiative—state-backed theft of Sindh’s water, land, culture, history, and lifeblood.
We marched from Teen Talwar to Fawara Chowk, and our slogans echoed the voices of Sindh’s people — from farmers and workers to students and women. As we passed the corridors of power, from the Chief Minister’s House to the Governor’s House, we delivered a clear message
We continue to demand:
- An immediate cancellation of all canal projects and modifications on the River Indus. Let the river flow.
- A complete revocation of all land allotments made under corporate farming schemes. Return the land to the people.
We extend our gratitude to the many political and social progressive organizations in Karachi who stood with us and amplified the voices of people across Sindh in this collective resistance.
