**Young Doctors Association Sindh Meets with KMC Deputy Mayor**
Karachi, November 4, 2024 - The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh held a productive meeting with the Deputy Mayor of KMC, Salman Murad, to discuss important healthcare issues. The YDA Sindh team, led by Chairman Dr. Mehboob Noonari, along with Dr. Hamza Sohail (General Secretary of Karachi Division), Dr. Ammar Danish (President), and Dr. Muhammad Ali (Spokesperson, YDA JPMC), as well as Dr. Mubashir (SRMO ASH), Dr. Zohaib Ali Bhutto (ASH), and House Officer Representative Dr. Arsal, joined the YDA KMC team for the discussions.
**Meeting Agenda Highlights:**
1. MD, MS, and MCPS candidates are currently undergoing unpaid training at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, and there is a need for paid slots for MCPS, MD, and MS candidates at ASH Karachi.
2. There should be an increase in salaries for House Officers and Postgraduate Residents to match those of the Sindh Government.
3. House Officers are owed three months of back pay. It is crucial to ensure timely and consistent payments for both House Officers and Postgraduate Residents.
4. Various hospitals under KMC have not conducted hiring in many years, resulting in a shortage of doctors. There is an urgent need for new doctor hirings in KMC hospitals.
5. 5-The KIHD doctors need to be upgraded from 17grade to 18grade.
6. 6- kIHD doctors have been regularized in 2012 in grade 17 their upgradation was due in 2018.
The YDA Sindh appreciates the efforts of Mayor KMC Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Mayor Salman Murad in enhancing the healthcare systems of KMC Hospitals and assures support for addressing the concerns of healthcare professionals.
