The Youth & Volunteer Department, Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh, under the Road Safety Education Project, supported the Stanmore Boys & Girls School Youth Clubs in organizing an Inter-Campus Poster Contest in observance of International Peace Day.

Under the theme “Road Safety: A Path to Peace,” students expressed their creativity while promoting road safety, responsibility, respect, peace, and safer communities.

The initiative was appreciated by Mr. Fahad Naseem Siddiqui, Chairman of the School, and Ms. Sakina Abbas, Academic Coordinator, who acknowledged the efforts of the Youth Club members and PRCS Sindh.

The PRCS Youth & Volunteer Department Sindh, under the Road Safety Education Programme, is proud to support The Graceful Grammar Higher Secondary School PRCS Youth Clubs in hosting a World Peace Day Celebration & Inter-Campus Debate Competition on "Road to Peace"

Highlights included the Inter-Campus "Awaz-e-Watan" Debate & Skit Competition, where students showcased bold ideas and leadership, plus an impactful skit and speeches on Road Safety Do's & Don'ts — reminding us that small choices save lives.

Pakistan Red Crescent warmly welcome to Ambassador of Ireland to Pakistan.
The Ambassador visited PRCS Provincial headquarter sindh branch office. The HOD IFRC, Program coordinator IFRC, Deputy Director NHQ also accompanied her.
During the visit, the Provincial Secretary briefed the delegation on PRCS's key activities, achievements, and programs, including a guided tour of the PRCS Training Institute.
Chairman PRCS Sindh and Vice Chairman PRCS Sindh officially welcomed the distinguished guests and extended a formal vote of thanks for their visit.
Further, the HOD IFRC and Ambassador expressed high appreciation for PRCS sindh ongoing humanitarian initiatives and efforts across the sindh.
The Chairman ABAD and former Minister of climate change also accompanied the visit.

As part of its environmental awareness and community engagement initiatives, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch continues to encourage practical actions for environmental sustainability.

During his journey from Karachi to Lahore, PRCS Tree Plantation Ambassador Shehroz Siraj carried out a seed ball initiative, dispersing approximately 35,000 fruit seeds at suitable locations along the route.

The initiative aims to promote natural regeneration, enhance public awareness, and encourage individuals to adopt simple, meaningful actions for a greener and more sustainable Pakistan.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch hosted a delegation visit to Keti Bunder, District Thatta, to review the LLA Project interventions and engage with community leaders and women’s groups.
The delegation included Ms. Mary O’Neill, Ambassador of Ireland to Pakistan; Mr. Andreas von Weissenberg, Head of Delegation, IFRC; Mr. Rehan Hashmi, Chairman PRCS Sindh; Provincial Secretary PRCS Sindh; IFRC Program Coordinator; Deputy Director NHQ; and Honorary Secretary DRCS Thatta Branch.
The delegation also visited the PRCS District Branch Thatta office and interacted with branch members, staff, and volunteers. The visit concluded with the distribution of wheelchairs among vulnerable community members, supporting their mobility, dignity, and inclusion.
The Ambassador of Ireland appreciated the humanitarian services of PRCS and acknowledged the dedication and efforts of all those contributing to community resilience and support.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch, Hon Ambassador for Tree Plantation, organized a tree and plant distribution activity and an environmental awareness session for students at a private school.

The initiative included meaningful activities focused on Kitchen Gardening and Indoor & Outdoor Plantation, while free plants were also distributed among the students.

On the directives of Chairman Red Crescent Rehan Hashmi, the initiative mainly aims to promote environmental awareness among the younger generation and encourage responsible action towards climate change, plantation, and environmental protection.

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch successfully conducted a two-day training on “Community Early Warning & Evacuation Process” for volunteers from flood-prone districts, including Khairpur, Sukkur, and Larkana.

The training was facilitated by the Manager Operations, PRCS Sindh, and the Branch Development Officer, PRCS Sindh, with a focus on strengthening volunteers’ capacity in early warning systems, evacuation planning, disaster preparedness, and community-based emergency response.

The training concluded with closing remarks by Mamoon ur Rasheed Bajwa, Finance Secretary, DRCB, and Malik Siraj Ahmed, Administrator, who appreciated the efforts toward enhancing community resilience and preparedness for flood emergencies.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch conducted First Aid at Workplace Training sessions for field staff of K-Electric, successfully training 40 participants across two batches.

The practical and interactive sessions focused on developing essential first aid skills, emergency response techniques, workplace safety awareness, and confidence to respond effectively during workplace emergencies.

Participants appreciated the practical approach, relevant content, and professional delivery, highlighting the value of hands-on learning in strengthening workplace emergency preparedness.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch conducted a two-day training on Community Early Warning and Evacuation Processes for volunteers from flood-prone districts of Naushahro Feroze, Dadu, and Jamshoro, held from 31 August to 1 September 2026 in Dadu.

The training was organized under the Anticipatory Action Project, supported by IFRC, with the aim of strengthening local disaster preparedness, enhancing early warning capacities, and building community resilience ahead of potential flood emergencies.

The sessions were facilitated by the Manager Operations and Branch Development Officer (BDO), PRCS Sindh, focusing on practical preparedness measures, early warning mechanisms, and safe evacuation procedures.

A Basic First Aid, First Aid at Workplace, and Basic Climate Change Adaptation Training was conducted at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Elite Police Training Center (SBBETC), Razzakabad, for the Sindh Police Mountaineering Team.

The training focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge and practical skills in first aid, emergency response, workplace safety, and climate change adaptation. Participants also explored climate-related risks relevant to trekking and mountaineering, including changing weather patterns, heat, extreme weather events, and water availability.

The training concluded with a Closing Ceremony and Certificate Distribution, where Chairman PRCS Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, attended as the Chief Guest and appreciated the participants’ commitment to enhancing their preparedness and safety.

The initiative reflects PRCS Sindh’s continued commitment to promoting emergency preparedness, climate awareness, and safer communities.
