Hello everyone! Animal Welfare Society is reaching out once again for help from the community. One of our campus cats called Brave had been having problems eating normal cat food for a few days. We took him to the vet, and some of his teeth were extracted. He will be on a soft diet for a while before he transitions to biscuits, so his medicated food will be given separately. He also had a huge wound on his body that was treated as well.

The cost is as follows:
+ total cost of all procedures after discount 43250
+ transport 5000
+ sterilized food 2100 (300*7)
TOTAL - 50350 PKR

Please donate whatever you can for Brave! He's a very loving and cute cat who deserves the best that he can get!

Hey everyone!

The IBA community has been a driving force behind Animal Welfare Society's many operations. We are reaching out again to cover some costs for our cats. One of our beloved campus cats called Brave developed Gingivitis, a gum disease that left him unable to eat dry food.

Not only that, some of our other campus cats were also sent to the vet within the same timeframe. (Mittens, Farmie, Mai). The transport charges amounted to 10000 PKR, and medicines were around 1000 PKR.

Other than this, we are also planning to feed the campus cats chicken once a week to maintain a balanced and nutritional diet which will cost around 1000-1500 PKR per feeding (6000 for 4-5 weeks).

A simpler breakdown:
- Brave's blood tests 13000
- Transport to take cats to the vet 6000
- Medicines required 650
- snowy medicated food 5300
- Chicken for main campus cats 6000
- Wet food pouches to make liquid food for brave 250*10 = 2500
Total = 33450 PKR

If you are planning to donate, please send a screenshot on this Whatsapp number (03002213728) or dm on this account so we can keep track. Even donating small amounts like 100-200 makes a difference. Thank you!

Meet the man behind our operations: Faisal Bhai! OMA-One Man Ambulance

This is an appreciation post for Faisal Bhai, founder of One Man Ambulance and the backbone of AWSA operations ⭐

Faisal Bhai goes out of his way to rescue animals in need. In the past and a half month, he has helped rescue and transport many cats of IBA for their medical treatment and spaying surgeries. Without him, these necessary rescues would not have been possible!

Below are some of the testimonials from AWSA volunteers who have worked with him:

'He comes fully equipped with a net and food to trap cats properly'

'Immedidate response from Faisal Bhai always when we need him!'

'He has trapped the most feral cats inside IBA like Courty and Marty - many of which were unable to be caught by volunteers since months!'

It is not an easy task to take IBA cats to Healthy Tails (our vet partners) in Defense and then safely back to campus so huge kudos to the efforts of Faisal Bhai 🎊
