Celebrating the Champions Behind Pakistan’s Digital Future!

On 29th August 2026, PAFLA hosted the National Recognition Ceremony: Celebrating Pakistan’s Freelancing Champions at Governor House, Sindh.

The ceremony brought together leading voices from Pakistan’s digital ecosystem, with more than 800 guests in attendance, as we proudly honoured 50 Top-Rated Freelancers for their achievements and contribution to the country’s growing freelance economy.

Pakistani freelancers generated a record USD 1.76 billion in export receipts during the last fiscal year, reflecting the growing impact of Pakistan’s digital workforce.

We were honoured by the presence of H.E. Syed Nehal Hashmi, Governor of Sindh, along with Fahad Shafiq, Dr. Ishrat Husain, Fahd Haroon, and other distinguished guests who joined us in celebrating Pakistan’s digital talent.

A special appreciation to Ibrahim Amin, Chairman PAFLA; Dr. Imran Batada, President PAFLA; Fahad Sheikh, Co-Founder PAFLA; and Farheen Fatima, Chief Growth & Strategy, for their leadership and continued efforts towards strengthening Pakistan’s freelance ecosystem.

At the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐈𝐦𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐚, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐀𝐅𝐋𝐀, shared a forward-looking message for Pakistan’s freelancers, one centred on adaptability, innovation, and continuous growth.

His message was simple but powerful: “𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲.” In a rapidly changing digital world, experience alone is not enough. Freelancers must continue upgrading their skills, adapting to new technologies, and finding better ways to create value.

He also encouraged freelancers to shift their mindset around AI, not asking whether AI will take their jobs, but asking how AI can multiply their efficiency.

Another key focus was the need to move beyond service-based work by creating digital assets and scalable products that can open new markets and take Pakistan’s freelancing industry to the next level.

As President of PAFLA, Dr. Imran Batada continues to advocate for a stronger freelance ecosystem, one where freelancers not only grow individually, but also 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

𝐀 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

We were honored to have Ibrahim Amin, Co Founder and Chairman of the Pakistan Freelancers Association, deliver the welcome address at PAFLA’s National Recognition Ceremony, “Celebrating Pakistan’s Freelancing Champions,” held at Governor House Sindh.

From an idea to a national organization representing Pakistan’s growing freelancing community, Ibrahim Amin has played an instrumental role in building PAFLA and bringing the challenges and aspirations of freelancers to the forefront.

In his address, he reflected on how far Pakistan’s freelancing community has come since 2018.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬:

✅ Pakistani freelancers generated a record USD 1.76 billion in export receipts during the last fiscal year.

✅ Pakistan has approximately three million full time and part time freelancers, making it one of the world’s largest freelancing communities.

✅ PAFLA has worked consistently to improve access to formal banking, foreign currency accounts, international payments, tax facilitation, insurance and financial products.

✅ Freelancers generated more than USD 175 million in July 2026 alone, approximately 45 percent higher than the corresponding month last year.

✅ With stronger digital infrastructure, payment systems, financial inclusion and professional skills, Pakistan can cross USD 2.5 billion in freelance export earnings during the current fiscal year.

✅ Opportunity should not be limited by geography. Every skilled Pakistani should be able to serve global markets while living and working in Pakistan.

His closing message to young Pakistanis was clear:

“Learn one valuable skill. Perfect it through continuous practice. Learn how to apply artificial intelligence to it. Work with honesty, compete through quality and, above all, never give up.”

Pakistan’s talent deserves a global platform, and together, we will build it.

Imran Ali Dina has played a remarkable role in making graphic design education accessible to everyone. Through GFXMentor, anyone with an internet connection can learn, develop their creative skills, and explore opportunities in the digital economy.

During his special talk and mentorship session, he shared an important message for today’s digital generation: use AI as a tool, but nourish your own thinking alongside it. He encouraged young people to read books, practise things themselves, and occasionally step away from their phones and computers to keep their creativity and critical thinking strong.

His message was a timely reminder that while technology can enhance our abilities, human creativity, curiosity, and practical learning still matter.
