Our mission is directly inspired by Richard Louv who initiated a campaign in US with the of Children and Nature Network which is a world wide movement to connect children with nature. This initiative is supporting the cause of Connecting children with Nature and is trying to contribute in our Asian societies where Nature is in ample but our academic based education system is robbing the simple j
oys of childhood from children. VISION:
Our vision is to create a world where every child is supported and respected for his unique talent by creating opportunities for him to explore, initiate and discover things on his own, all through Play/Nature Play. MISSION:
CHILDREN AND NATURE NETWORK ASIA works to make this world a better place for children where they can reach their fullest possible potential. And for that we believe that every child should be given the right learning environment where his creativity can be taken to it’s maximum and ensure healthy development of his physical, intellectual, psychological, social, moral and spiritual dimensions of his personality. We are creating opportunities for children to explore, initiate and discover things on their own, all through Play with minimum adult's interference. Our dream is to create a World of Learning where adults instead of killing the child's Natural curiosity to explore, actually help them to achieve that by simply providing them a chance to Play. ABOUT THE MOVEMENT:
The Children & Nature Network is leading the movement to connect all children, their families and communities to nature through innovative ideas, evidence-based resources and tools, broad-based collaboration among the different sectors of the society including Public/ Private sectors, different professionals like educators, doctors, researchers, parents, child care providers, mental health professional, therapists, social workers, lawmakers and policy makers. We are connecting Educational institutes, Colleges, universities, hospitals, NGOs, corporate sector, public and private organizations all to unite on a forum to change the way we perceive childhood and to help create a better world for children by connecting them to nature, because Nature is the best teacher.
