United Nations General Assembly proclaimed December 05, as an International Volunteer Day (IVD) in 1985, which is celebrated throughout the world to pay homage and honor the selfless services of Volunteers’ to the suffering humanity. The UN Resolution "Integrating volunteering into peace and development: the plan of action (2016-2030) for the next decade and beyond", adopted by consensus by the UN
General Assembly in November 2015, recognizes that volunteering can be a powerful means of implementation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the contemporary
societies, volunteering has ripple effects that motivate more people. The book “who is who in Sindh” compiled the efforts of the volunteers in Sindh, how and where they contributed for the betterment of human beings. The objectives are to recognize and honor the dedicated services of volunteers, to promote the spirit of
volunteerism and motivate government, civil society organizations and the private sector to endorse their contributions. Finally I would like to say that I have no words to thanks all the volunteers and more especially team members who work selflessly, their precious time, energy and all the resources they used at their own accord to make this event successful and finally made possible to bring this book in your hands.
