Karachiites, We NEED Your Help! Adopt A Tree.
Our city is in trouble. Remember that awful heatwave in May? Those weren't just bad days. Karachi is getting hotter, FASTER. On May 19th, it hit a scorching 40.2°C (104.3°F) - that's way above average and the highest all year! Just 10 days later, it got even worse at 41.5°C (106.7°F)!
Experts are warning these heatwaves will keep getting worse. They say Karachi's heat index could climb past a brutal 50°C (122°F) - hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk! That's just not livable.
We can't let this happen. But we need YOUR help to cool our city down. Here's how YOU can be a hero: Plant just ONE tree.
Planting a tree in your backyard, or even on a nearby street corner, isn't just good for the environment, it cools the air WE ALL breathe. Every single tree makes a difference.
