Celebrating independence through progress, health, and hope. 🇵🇰✨

This 14th August, the Children of Adam team, local leaders, and community members gathered at the Neuropsychiatric Clinic in Korangi, Karachi to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day. Beyond the flag hoisting, cake cutting, and children’s art activities, this celebration carried a deeper promise for our nation’s future.

CEO Shahzad Sadan announced our upcoming state-of-the-art mental health hospital in Korangi, dedicated to providing free, dignified, and world-class psychiatric care. Paired with our Plant for Hope tree plantation drive, we are reaffirming our commitment to building a healthier, greener, and more compassionate Pakistan.

14th August may have passed on the calendar, but the spirit of Azadi is not something we celebrate for just one day.

Over the past few days, we have continued sharing moments from our Independence Day celebrations across Children of Adam, because each one represents something much bigger than a celebration. It represents community, hope, service and our shared responsibility towards Pakistan.

From our children proudly holding the green and white, to our teams planting trees, coming together and praying for a stronger Pakistan, every moment reminded us that independence also comes with a promise, to care, to serve and to build.

So yes, we are still celebrating. Because the Pakistan we believe in is something we work for every single day.

As another 14th August comes to a close, our celebration of Pakistan must not end with the day. For us at Children of Adam, love for Pakistan is a promise, a promise to serve its people and play our part in building a better country.

It is a promise that Bani Adam Neuropsychiatric Hospital will open its doors to those who need care, dignity and hope. A promise to give children access to free education, so their circumstances never decide their future. A promise to bring clean drinking water to communities where something so basic is still a daily struggle. And our promise goes beyond these efforts. It is to keep reaching further, doing more and standing beside our people wherever there is a need we can help meet.

Pakistan was built on hope, sacrifice and the belief in a better tomorrow. Today, it is our responsibility to help build that tomorrow, not only through words, but through service.

Our Independence Day celebrations may end tonight, but our service to Pakistan never will. May we always have the courage to give back to the country we are so proud to call home.
