Rotary Community Centre

Rotary Community Centre Rotary Community Centre is a Project by the Rotary Club of Karachi. Rotarian A R Kazi designed the building and was to be constructed in phases.

The Rotary Community centre project was initiated some years ago by Rotarian I A Abbasi during his Presidency. The centre became the first prime project of the Rotary Club of Karachi and is spread on a 2000 square yards plot in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Late PDG Kassim Dada donated rupees one million to start the centre with its first structure “Kassim Dada Wing.” It housed a computer centre providing sh

ort training courses to the interested students of the local community. Later English Language classes were introduced in collaboration with PACC. Two more facilities are provided to the local community, a gymnasium and computer classes. As the demand for these services grew, an additional “Reuters Wing” was constructed through Reuters funding of GBP 15,000. The latest addition to the community center is the Artifical Limbs Project, which provides free limbs and calipers to the needy population.
