Together, we can make a difference
One step towards a thalassemia-free future.
The SDGS Club of NSS Society of National Textile University, under the leadership of Sir Sami ur Rehman, organized a Thalassemia Awareness Session followed by a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with the Sundas Foundation.
The session aimed to educate students about thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder that requires lifelong, regular blood transfusions. Participants learned about the causes, symptoms, prevention, and the importance of voluntary blood donation in improving the lives of thalassemia patients.
Sundas Foundation is a well-known non-profit organization in Pakistan that provides free blood transfusions and medical care to patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, blood cancer, and other blood-related diseases. The foundation depends on voluntary blood donors to ensure a continuous supply of safe blood for patients in need.
Following the awareness session, students enthusiastically participated in the blood donation drive. Their generous donations will help Sundas Foundation continue its mission of providing lifesaving blood to thalassemia patients. The event reflected the students' compassion, social responsibility, and commitment to serving humanity.
The session concluded with appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Sir Sami ur Rehman, the organizing team, Sundas Foundation, and all the student volunteers and blood donors whose participation made the event a meaningful and successful initiative.
