Faiz Welfare Foundation is a newly established charity organization with the objective to provide medical facilities to the poor and needy members of the society. It was founded by Dr. Faizur Rehman Siddiqui, who is a highly experienced and qualified doctor with over 30 years’ experience of practicing medicine in Pakistan, Abu Dhabi and Canada. He is a philanthropist and has carried out these acti
vities in Abu Dhabi and Karachi for a long time. Other members are respectable members of the society which include leading businessmen, lawyers and other professionals. The main objective of the Foundation is to provide free medical facilities to the poor patients who cannot afford medicines, surgery or medical treatment. These activities are being funded through donations, charity and Zakat from various corporate as well as individual donors who are contributing towards this noble cause. The Foundation recently started its welfare activities by setting up a Patient Welfare Counter at Indus Hospital, Korangi, Karachi for poor patients of Hepatias C . It has adopted over 100 patients providing them with diagonostic support, medicines, injections and treatment for Hepatitas in collobaroation with Indus Hospital absolutely free of cost. This activity will soon be expanded to Civil and Jinnah Hospital, which are two main Government owned hospitals where hundreds of poor patients die each day because of lack of proper medicines or proper treatment. The Foundation has also started work on constructing its own medical center in Mehran Town, Korangl. When completed, it will provide subsidized medical care for poor patients of the locality suffering from Hepatitas, Diabetes, Kidney problems or cardio vascular diseases. It will be equipped with X-Ray, Ultrasound, Dialysis, and a laboratory for poor patients of the locality. The Foundation is also cooperating with Burns Center, Civil Hospital, Karachi which is providing state of the art treatment for poor burns patients of Karachi absolutely free of cost.
