33-year-old Onijah Andrew Robinson, a New York resident, arrived in Karachi on October 11, 2024, on a 30-day tourist visa after developing a relationship with 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon, a resident of Garden West, Karachi. The two had connected on social media, and Robinson traveled to Pakistan with the intention of marrying Memon.

However, the relationship fell apart when Memon, under family pressure, backed out of the marriage. This left Robinson stranded in a foreign country with no immediate means to return home.

A 22-year-old woman, identified as Saba, was strangled to death by her husband, Irfan, in Saeedabad on Thursday, according to police.

SHO Idris Bangash reported that the incident occurred inside the couple’s home in Sector-12-E. After committing the crime, Irfan called his father-in-law to inform him about the murder and then fled the scene.

The couple had married of their own free will and were parents to two children. However, their relationship was reportedly strained due to frequent quarrels, primarily caused by Irfan’s drug addiction.

According to a video report by private TV channel Express, Bari Mamu, an elderly man who migrated to Karachi from Indore during the partition of the subcontinent, asserts that Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, is his paternal uncle.

The man shared that before India's independence in 1947, his family and Salman Khan's grandfather's family lived in the state of Indore. He added that elders from both families held high-ranking positions in the state police.

A man shot dead his 18-year-old daughter and her 20-year-old friend in the name of 'honour' on Tuesday in Malir's Rafah-e-Aam Society, police said.

The suspect, identified as Azhar, claimed he found the two alone on the rooftop of his residence, which enraged him. He shot both victims at close range, killing them on the spot.

The victims were identified as Fatima and Ali.

Azhar later surrendered to the local police and confessed to the killings. In his initial statement, he alleged that he had previously warned the young man to stay away but was ignored.

A dramatic video capturing a movie-style face-off between law enforcers and robbers in Karachi's Khawaja Ajmer Nagri area has surfaced, showing the police taking down three suspects in a tense encounter.

The incident unfolded on Monday when four armed suspects, riding a motorcycle, attempted to rob a shop. The assailants indiscriminately opened fire to spread fear and panic in the vicinity.

The swift response by the police resulted in a shootout that left three suspects dead, while one managed to flee.

According to police, the water tank's lid was concealed with a carton, raising suspicions about whether the child accidentally fell into the tank or was pushed. The body has been shifted to a hospital for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Sarim had been reported missing on January 7 when he failed to return home from a nearby madrasa. His family, fearing abduction, filed a missing person’s report. The police launched an extensive search operation, thoroughly checking all 212 flats and four water tanks in the apartment complex, but found no trace of the child initially.
