Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated modern veterinary facilities at the Sindh Institute of Animal Health in Korangi. The new infrastructure includes a Pets Hospital with operation theatres, wards, recovery units and intensive care facilities for companion animals. The institute has also received upgraded diagnostic, post-mortem and laboratory facilities to improve disease detection and veterinary research. These developments can strengthen disease surveillance and support faster veterinary interventions across Sindh. Better animal healthcare is also closely connected to the province’s livestock sector and the livelihoods of rural communities. The investment brings animal welfare, scientific research and livestock development together within a stronger veterinary healthcare system.
