✨ HER Impact 2026 Successfully Concluded! ✨
We're thrilled to share the highlights of our very first event as the newly elected IEEE UIT Student Branch team!
In collaboration with IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Karachi Section, we organized "HER Impact 2026" an event dedicated to celebrating and empowering women engineers who drive innovation and create meaningful impact in their communities.
We were honored to welcome Engr. Syeda Fakhra Jalal as our main speaker. She is a Biomedical Engineer, Student Engagement Coordinator at Young Professionals Karachi Section, Advisor for IEEE EMBS SHUSB, and Chair of IEEE SHUSB. Her session offered powerful insights that left a lasting impression on all of us.
We were also joined by an inspiring lineup of guest speakers:
🔹 Ms. Nazia Sultana Plabon, Graduate Student, Department of EEE, Premier University, and Team Member at IEEE Region 10 HTA, who shared her journey as a volunteer with a focus on empowering female students.
🔹 Ms. Amna Umer, Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at UIT University, Treasurer of IEEE WIE Karachi Section, and Media and Content Manager at IEEE HTA Region 10, who spoke on how humanitarian projects transform communities.
🔹 Engr. Amna Jawaid Sheikh, a Master's student in Greece and recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, who shared her insights on engineering for social good.
Sincere thanks to all our guest speakers, participants, and our incredible team for their hard work and support in making this event a memorable success. This marks the beginning of many more initiatives to come from IEEE UIT Student Branch! 💜
