SWERA Pakistan

SWERA Pakistan SWERA works to empower local communities

At SWERA, empowerment is not giving power, ability or resources to individuals that are in need; we take empowerment as vehicle, in fact helping a person or a group to realize and utilize the power they inherently have, to discover and build their own human and physical assets.

Most countries have seen average annual increases of 6-10% in the number of children diagnosed with autism. Estimates vary across countries, but the trend is clear.

This increase does not necessarily mean autism is becoming more common. It reflects several factors including changes in diagnostic criteria, greater awareness of autism, reduced stigma, earlier checks on child development and broader interpretations of the autism spectrum.

As a result, demand for diagnostic assessments has grown in many countries. However, the capacity of public diagnostic systems has not always kept pace, with many countries reporting long waiting times for public diagnoses and a shortage of trained professionals.
