Laal Roti & SRSC: A Heartfelt Eid Collaboration 2026
The SRSC Centre’s Eid Milan was a beautiful celebration of joy and community. Following a warm welcome by Ms. Talat Hashmi, students performed heart-touching musical sets guided by Ms. Sana, with Ms. Saira, Sir Amir, and the entire staff joining in. We were honored to host Mrs. Rubina Kamal and her grandchildren, alongside Mrs. Rehana Saleem, whose generous gifts brought smiles to every child. In a grateful exchange, Ms. Nighat Daudi and Ms. Tasneem Sheikh presented the students' handcrafted cards to our guests. After closing notes from Ms. Parveen Asif and Ms. Azra Ali, the event concluded with festive refreshments, perfectly reflecting the inclusive spirit Laal Roti is proud to champion.

Continuing a Compassionate Legacy: Pre-Eid Joy at SRSC
On Monday March 16, 2026 the Laal Roti community witnessed a beautiful tribute to family tradition and service. Carrying forward the legacy of their mother, Aziza Iqbal, sisters Haya and Farah visited SRSC with their children to celebrate the spirit of Eid. Together, they distributed Eidi and festive gift packs to 80 students, filling the center with smiles and excitement. It was truly moving to see the next generation embracing this annual act of kindness, ensuring that the flame of compassion lit by their elders continues to shine bright. We are deeply grateful for this family’s enduring commitment to bringing joy to those who need it most.

A Day of Joy: LNSOP and Laal Roti Unite at SRSC
The Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Children (SRSC) recently hosted 35 vibrant volunteers from the Liaquat National School of Physiotherapy (LNSOP) for a day of celebration and service. Supported by the dedicated Laal Roti community, the visitors brought immense happiness to the classrooms through face painting, henna art for the girls, and the distribution of thoughtful gifts. This collaborative effort filled the center with laughter and excitement, providing our students with a truly memorable experience and highlighting the beautiful impact of community-driven support.

Spreading Joy: A Blessed Ramadan Session at SRSC School
On March 9, 2026, the dedicated teachers at SRSC School organized a heart-touching Ramadan Educational Session, proudly supported by Laal Roti. It was a joy to see about 60 to 65 boys and girls participating with such enthusiasm! The day featured soulful Naats, a lively Q&A on the importance of fasting (Roza), and guidance on essential Islamic Duas and the Kalma Tayyaba. To make the morning even more special, gifts were distributed to all the students, bringing many smiles to their faces. This wonderful session truly brought the blessings and spirit of the holy month to life for everyone involved.

On March 5, 2026, SRSC and Laal Roti joined forces to host a heartening Ramadan distribution by the Nighaban Foundation, led by Ms. Zehra Kachelo. A total of 100 ration packets and special gift packs were distributed to children and their families, providing both essential food supplies and festive joy. This collaborative effort between our teams and the Nighaban Foundation highlights our shared commitment to supporting special children and their caregivers as we welcome the holy month. We are deeply grateful for this partnership that continues to bring smiles and vital relief to our community.

Empowering Talent, Building Community!

At Laal Roti, we believe that every skill shared is a community strengthened. On February 14th, we were proud to serve as a support partner for the second episode of The Talent Tree at PACC, alongside The Flying Carpet Company and the Rotary Club of Karachi Elite.
This wasn’t just a show—it was a vibrant celebration of our youth's diverse creative gifts:
Visual Arts: Moving beyond music, we featured a talented young artist who showcased his sketching and drawing skills live, proving that creativity knows no bounds.
Musical Excellence: Exceptional vocalists and highly skilled musicians delivered soulful, high-energy performances that the audience thoroughly enjoyed.
Digital Storytelling: We were equally proud to highlight our budding cinematographer and videographers, whose creative lenses captured the spirit of the afternoon beautifully.
A heartfelt thank you to Samina Aslam for being the visionary leader behind this initiative, and to the dedicated team of volunteers and organizers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Together in Grief, United in Hope
At Laal Roti, our hearts are heavy as we witness the aftermath of the tragic fire at Gul Plaza. We stand in profound solidarity with our city, sharing the weight of this immense sorrow.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the families who have lost their loved ones and the hardworking shopkeepers whose livelihoods have been lost to the flames. In these moments of trial, we are reminded that our greatest strength lies in our compassion for one another.
We pray for Maghfirah for the departed and Shifa for the injured. May the Almighty grant Sabr-e-Jameel to those in mourning and provide unwavering strength to those waiting for news of the missing.
Laal Roti remains committed to walking beside our fellow citizens during this time of grief. We believe that through prayer and unity, we will find the courage to heal and rebuild.

Laal Roti collaborates on a Blessed Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Celebration at SRSC
Laal Roti was proud to collaborate with the SRSC centre on September 1, 2025, to celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The event, which paid tribute to the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was filled with spiritual recitations, speeches, and prayers, creating a truly blessed atmosphere.

The celebration ended with the distribution of sweet boxes to the students and staff of SRSC. Laal Roti is grateful to have been a part of this special event that celebrated the teachings of love, peace, and compassion.
