Back in 2012, we (classmates) decided to support and help the needy children by financing them with their entire educational expenditures. So we set up an organization named KOSS (Khewra Organization for Social Services) and did a hunt down for a deserving cases and succeeded in finding a worthy cause. Our ambition is mainly trying our best to root out ill-literacy, eradicate child labor and helpi
ng the poor.
*Our first cause,to be concise, was the child ‘Turrab Haider’. He was the son of a Rickshaw Driver. As fate had it, the Rickshaw driver had recently went through a major kidney operation and was on a complete bed rest prescribed by the doctors. Rickshaw driver’s family was in a state of absolute turmoil. We paid a visit to his home and were completely traumatized after getting through his financial condition and decided to aid him by covering his child’s total educational expense. We bought the child all essential stationery items along with a school bag, school shoes, uniform along with bearing the educational expenses throughout the year. This was made possible by the donations from students in our area and well of persons of our society. Similarly, we also dealt with other needy students by providing them stationery and other expenses. Due to certain circumstances we were unable to work on it further for a year, but now we are up to our goals and want them to be accomplished. So, recently we have started accomplishing our endeavors with new enthusiasm, zeal and vitality. We are now impassioned to continue and get this organization registered after working on it for a month or so. In order for our donations to be collected through a proper channel we are soon opening a bank account, but until that notice the donations will be collected by the team only. The happiness we receive by helping others cannot be poured into words.
