📢 WE ARE HIRING – Master Trainer (WASH ToT)

Community Development Foundation (CDF), in collaboration with Action Against Hunger (ACF), Government of Sindh, and SIDA, invites applications from qualified professionals for the position of Master Trainer to conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) on Safe Water Storage and Good Hygiene Practices in District Jacobabad.

This assignment aims to strengthen community resilience by improving WASH practices and promoting positive hygiene behaviors.

📍 Location: UC Baqapur & Balochabad, Jacobabad
⏳ Duration: 04 Days
🎓 Qualification: Relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree
📌 Experience: Minimum 5 years in WASH/Hygiene Trainings

🌡️ When temperatures soar above 50°C in Jacobabad, access to cooling is not a luxury—it becomes a necessity.
Through our Heatwave Anticipatory Action Initiative, Community Development Foundation (CDF) has established 10 community-based Ice Banks across highly vulnerable and heatwave-prone areas of Jacobabad, ensuring that 1,000 at-risk individuals have access to free cooling ice before extreme temperatures reach dangerous levels.
This initiative is designed to protect daily wage workers, children, elderly people, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups from the life-threatening impacts of extreme heat.
By acting before disaster strikes, we are strengthening community resilience, reducing heat-related risks, and demonstrating the power of locally led anticipatory action.
Together, we can build safer and more climate-resilient communities.

2 June 2026 | 🌡️ HEAT ACTION DAY 2026 |

Today, on Heat Action Day 2026, the Community Development Foundation (CDF) joins the global call to raise awareness about the growing risks of extreme heat and the importance of taking action to protect vulnerable communities.

This year's theme, "Indoor Heat Matters," highlights that extreme heat does not only affect people outdoors. Homes, schools, workplaces, hospitals, and public facilities can also become dangerously hot, posing serious health risks.

As part of its Heatwave Anticipatory Action initiatives in District Jacobabad, CDF is supporting communities through:

💧 Water Container Installation – Ensuring access to safe drinking water in heat-affected communities.

❄️ Cooling Stations – Providing relief and safe hydration during extreme heat.

🧊 Community Ice Banks – Supporting vulnerable populations with cooling solutions during heatwaves.

🌳 Shade Everywhere Initiative – Creating safer and cooler public spaces for people and animals.

Together, we can reduce heat-related risks through awareness, preparedness, and community action.

📢 Redefining Dignity on Menstrual Hygiene Day! 🔴✨
Break the silence, end the stigma! Today, on , the Community Development Foundation (CDF), in proud partnership with , is actively working to empower young girls in Sindh.

Through our "Right to Be a Girl" project in District Jacobabad, Pakistan, we are ensuring that menstruation never stands in the way of a girl's education, health, or future.

We aren't just talking about change—we are delivering it. Today, we are:
✅ Providing critical awareness on menstrual and personal hygiene.
✅ Distributing essential Personal Hygiene Kits to adolescent girls enrolled in our Adolescent and Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP) centers.

When girls have access to proper hygiene resources and accurate information, they stay in school, stay healthy, and lead with confidence. Dignity shouldn't be a luxury.

​عيد جي هن خوشين واري موقعي تي جتي اسان پنهنجن پيارن سان گڏ خوشيون ملهائي رهيا آهيون، اتي موجود شديد گرمي جي لهر (Heatwave) کي نظر ۾ رکندي هڪٻئي جو خيال رکڻ به اسان جي ذميواري آهي.
​اچو ته هن عيد کي محفوظ ۽ خوشگوار بڻائڻ لاءِ انهن چند اهم ڳالهين تي عمل ڪريون:

​With Eid-ul-Azha just around the corner, thousands of animals are arriving at the Jacobabad exhibition. Thanks to the Heatwave Anticipatory Actions Project, CDF has installed protective shades and water troughs to keep these animals safe and hydrated.

Cooling Communities, Empowering Girls! 💧☀️

​The students at Government Girls School Allan Khan Jamali in Jacobabad finally have access to safe, chilled drinking water, even in the scorching heat. Due to budget constraints, staying hydrated during heatwaves was a massive challenge until now.

​Through the Heatwave Anticipatory Actions Project, CDF has stepped in to provide eco-friendly, clay-mat natural water coolers to 10 girls' schools and 5 public places across Jacobabad.

​Huge thanks to Start Ready (Start Network) for funding this vital initiative and keeping our community safe and resilient! 🙌
