The Bureau of Investigative Reporting

The Bureau of Investigative Reporting The Bureau pursues journalism for the public benefit. We make our work freely available over the Internet and through open-source multimedia platforms.

The Bureau believes that as the established, mainstream media struggles with the impact of conflicts of interest, alternative reporting models are crucial to the survival of journalism that can focus on the public’s benefit. We undertake in-depth research into the governance of public, private and non-governmental organizations and their influence. Based out of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad,

The Bureau of Investigative Reporting accepts and edits only thoroughly-sourced investigative reports from multimedia journalists from anywhere in the world, providing a platform to those who want to provide, publish and disseminate information that would create awareness and benefit the public. Journalists who contribute to the Bureau of Investigative Reporting (BIR) have worked with international news organizations such as the BBC, CNN, NBC, Al Jazeera as well as Pakistani news providers such as The Jang Group, The Dawn Group, The Express Group etc.
