Geographical Coverage
PRIME is currently working in selected Districts of south Punjab Pakistan , where poverty is extreme and more problems exists , Now prime has recently setup its office in Islamabad, so as to work for poor and marginalized section of the society . 16 districts of south Punjab and one district in Sindh has included in farmers training, progr
amme which is specially designed for Marginal farmers .National office is also addressing others Provinces such as Peshawar ,Bagah ,and potohar region. Total coverage of programs is spread over 62 blocks. PRIME have initiated health advocacy initiatives at state level. Target Population
Tribal peasants, Marginal farmers, women and children are our primary program participants. We have included young population in our programs in recent time focusing on issues. Program Experience
Currently PRIME is implementing the following programs within its mission framework:
PRIME as the District Technology Resource Centre has the following focus:
Development of block level perspective plan through holistic approach. Information technology promotion and infrastructure building at district, block and PRI
Identification of enterprise, required technology promotion,
appropriation of technology, skill development in identified technology, demonstration,
documentation and replication of technology. Promotion of local gender sensitive institutions through social mobilization process to ensure self governance
Promotion of 400 women CBO and block level technical committee formation
Ensuring credit and market linkages
Micro finance initiative
PRIME has emerged as a local resource center for grass root NGOs and CBOs of south Punjab. It facilitates organization development process for grass root NGOs. Following activities have been undertaken under this program:
Extension of continuous technical support and information services to partner organizations
Development of M&E and MIS packages for small organizations to ensure high level of program performance standards. Linkages facilitation with technical, resource organizations and Government departments
