WHEN SILENCE SPEAKS, HOPE RESPONDS.
Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi, to meet children who have recently undergone successful cochlear implant surgeries funded by PBM.
During his visit, the Managing Director met the children and their parents and reviewed the progress of their recovery and rehabilitation. The children, who had previously lived with severe hearing impairment, are now beginning to respond to sounds and voices, with the prospect of developing speech through continued auditory and speech therapy.
Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt expressed his happiness over the children’s progress and said that restoring the ability to hear and communicate is a life-changing transformation for children and their families.
The Managing Director also commended Head, Department of ENT CMH, Rawalpindi, Major General Maqbool Raza, the doctors, surgeons, audiologists and rehabilitation professionals at CMH Rawalpindi for their expertise and dedication in helping the children embark on their journey towards hearing and speech.
The initiative reflects Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s broader mission of ensuring that financial hardship does not become a barrier to essential healthcare.
