It started with a box of letters in his mother's almirah. Watching her reread them, Murshidul Alam Bhuiyan saw what modern messages could never replace, the weight of a pause, the warmth of a memory, the honesty of words that took time.

That moment became Daak Chithi, bringing the handwritten letter back into everyday life, one page at a time.

There is something special about sitting in a room full of people yet choosing to slow down, put the phones away, and write. From Balochistan, Pakistan, another Daak Baithak unfolded with stories, laughter, memories, and letters waiting to find their way to someone.

Together with Baloch Zaalbol Hub, we brought back the simple joy of writing by hand. Different people, different stories, different reasons to write, but somehow, every letter became a little piece of its writer.

Perhaps that is why we keep doing Daak Baithak. To pause for a moment, remember what matters, and leave a few words behind for someone to hold onto.

We got together for Daak Baithak: Sip & Paint for a Cause, and it turned into such a lovely evening.

Everyone came in with a blank pot, and soon the room was filled with colours, conversations, laughter, and little stories. It was beautiful to see people sitting together, creating something with their hands, while simply enjoying each other’s company.

The proceeds from the evening will go to , supporting the stray animals at NUST.

We also had two wonderful stalls with us. with their beautiful jewellery and with their art prints. Both were loved by everyone and stayed busy throughout the evening.

Thank you .islamabad for hosting us, our partners , and everyone who came and made the evening special.

Some gatherings stay with you because of the people, the conversations, and the little moments in between. This was one of them.

Hello and welcome to Episode 11 of "Daak Dastan," brought to you by Daak Chithi. Mishal Shah narrates a letter from Mahnoor Rehan. A love letter to one's own heart.

In her words, home is not a place but an instinct. The heart is a first home, rib-caged and infinite, where you are celebrated, not tolerated. A reminder that the safest place you will ever be is the one you carry within your own ribs.

Proving that sometimes, the letter we need most is the one we write to ourselves. Come back, it's safe now. Breathe softly. This is home.

Another Daak Baithak, another room filled with stories, memories, and handwritten words.

Today, in Balochistan, Pakistan, we gathered in collaboration with Baloch Zaalbol Hub to do something simple that somehow feels increasingly rare: we sat together, put our phones away, picked up pens, and wrote.

At Daak Baithak, we believe a letter is more than words on paper. It carries a little piece of the person who writes it. Across Baloch and South Asian histories, letters have carried love, longing, resistance, hope, and revolution. They have crossed borders, survived distances, preserved memories, and kept stories alive.

Today, those stories found their way onto paper once again.

Some wrote to someone they miss. Some to someone they love. Some to their younger selves, their future selves, or perhaps to a place they call home.

Thank you to Baloch Zaalbol Hub for creating this space with us, and to everyone who joined Daak Baithak today.

Maybe, in a world that moves too quickly, writing a letter is simply a way of saying: I was here. I felt this. I wanted you to know.

For the first time, our letters found a home in Brazil. In partnership with Girl Up Morena, we came together to commemorate International Afro-Latin American and Afro-Caribbean Women's Day through handwritten letters, shared stories, and meaningful conversations.

Every letter carried a voice. Every story carried strength. A reminder that even across languages and continents, a handwritten letter can still bring people closer.

Just seven days. Yet I feel like even seven thousand words would never be enough to tell this story.

Everything began with a dream and a chance that many people were fighting for. I gave it my best, and somehow, I earned the opportunity. From being completely unknown to traveling to India as a representative of Bangladesh, I experienced something I had never felt before. For the first time in my life, I truly felt honoured. Carrying my country's identity on an international platform was more than an achievement. It was an emotion I will always treasure.

Every day brought a new experience. Exploring the Great Stupa at Sanchi, standing inside the magnificent Taj ul Masjid, walking through the historic Pandav Cave, and witnessing the breath-taking sunset from the highest point of Pachmarhi made me realize how beautiful the world really is. Every place had its own story, and somehow, each story became a part of mine. Then came the adventures. Parasailing, zip lining, and riding a jet ski for the very first time filled me with excitement, fear, and pure happiness. Every challenge reminded me that life begins where comfort ends. I felt as if I was breathing a completely new kind of air. But the most beautiful part of this journey was the people. Meeting amazing individuals from different places, sharing stories, laughing until midnight, camping under the open sky, and gazing at countless stars created memories I will carry forever. It is incredible how strangers can become family within a few days.

People spend a lifetime searching for moments that make them feel alive. I was fortunate enough to find those moments in just seven days. This trip was never just about traveling. It was about discovering myself, believing in myself, loving myself a little more, and returning home with a heart full of gratitude and a mind determined to dream bigger, work harder, and become the best version of myself.
